and that Bolens 853, very nice.

With some advice from the Bolens experts I have been reliably informed that the Estate Keeper is a EK7, model number 930-01. It was made in 1964. I think it is in great condition for a 52 year machine.

On Saturday I bought Tom's Bolens Estate Keeper from him. I have not really had much chance to look at it properly yet, however I it looks like a EK7 and largely original except that box under the seat and the angle iron on the engine cover.
It is not currently running and needs some love.

Andrew,
Your 600 is stunning I expect you will have a smile on your face all day.

Now my login has turned green again I can post some pictures and I know you all love Bolens pictures
Stopped half way home to check the straps
A few pictures after a bit of a test run
Always good to have to have a family shot. This is the HT20 pictures with my HT23.

Several of the Bolens tractors I got from John's have had parts replaced from a tractor painted purple. As such I am convinced he has a purple Bolens parts tractor hidden somewhere. I need some more parts from it if you do find it

Very cool, but who is the young lad driving it

You had me going with this one, especially as I am convinced another Bolens (or part of one) is about somewhere. I was on the edge of my seat and getting excited, not good at my age Last time I was this excited was when I realised Kylie had a sister

Thanks for posting the pictures Chris. The hitch needs changing because it is very weak and pooly designed. I think the size is perfect. I was very surprised when I weighed it as I was expecting it to be double that.
The Bolens pulled it easily and you did not know it was on the back, so I expect a horse might be able to pull it on a good day

Great one Andrew. It's good that another 600 has been saved and at the right price too.
Iain

Oh bother, I walked into that one

I had another look at the roller last night and it looks like it would come apart easily and would not take a lot to change the width of it. I did take a better picture that shows that but I am still unable to post pictures ATM.
I need to move it at the weekend so I will hook it up to a tractor to move and to take some pictures which should give a good idea of what it looks like behind a GT and if it needs to be narrowed. The hard bit will be finding a tractor with the same capabilities as a WH without removing lots of features from a Bolens

Would look horrbile in Wheelhorse red

No problem Chris, happy to help. It gave the Land Rover a bit of a workout dragging it from it's resting place and the trailer winch knew it was on the end.

I still can't believe you told her that you keep telling me to sell some. Cheers mate

I picked up another Bolens today but unfortunately I can't post any pictures ATM due to a problem with my account. Picture will follow I promise...
Many thanks to Chris for flagging it to me even though he had to listen to my wife's rants. Us Bolens boys hunt as a pack and we agree who is going to go for a tractor. That way we don't end up bidding against mates.
Tractor is a Bolens HT20 which only has 1400 hours. I have been after another HT for years so I am very chuffed. It had been outside for a while but I got it started and drove onto the trailer. I have no idea where I am going to store it but that is tomorrows problem.

The discs look great, I must dig my set out of the weeds.
it will be great to see some pictures of them in action

Looks great Mark, fantastic work.
how do you think this compares with a side mounted sickle bar mower?

I just re-read the post started by Dave. I am pleased it has all come together and the 600 will soon be at it's new home.
Early 600's are rare in the UK and I would not be surprised if it is the best non restored example in the UK.

Andrew, remind me what the ships name is and I'll be waiting for it with the trailer
The red car looks like a mustang
once you you have the 600 home I will have to pop down and have a look.

Happy birthday Nigel, have a good one!

I have walked past it covered up in the lean to a couple of times and I did not realise it was that good. Very tidy car which will be great for shows.
Sounds like The Showman has been performing his magic.

Tractor still looks great.
Plenty of ingenuity gone into the loading of this, helped by Dave’s splendid forklift
