You are definitely the best detective that we have! Does it look like it is mounted with an adapter?
-
I've got the clear one way valve, also.
-
Did you install a new diaphragm? If not, it will definitely need one for the best performance. As for props, it's almost a nightmare to find the optimum one without trying multiple pitches.
I was lucky enough to hook up with a rc boat club and a knowledgeable guy with a box of props helped me figure it out. We ended up with a 3 blade, beryllium Octura prop, not
sure of the number. How about a photo of the boat?

David, they all have two inlets and the one pictured is the only one with marred screws. I realized that it was a poor screwdriver job, just wondering why somebody
would have taken a new carb apart.
-
And yes, the only HU's that I could find on the web had screw adjustments for low and hi. These carbs are naked, except for the cool primer button.
-
Not sure why the screws in this one are all marred up, but I will send you some with good screws, no charge other than shipping.
-
Hey David, pay for shipping and I will send you a couple if you are interested.
-
I received a bunch of these Tillotson carbs in an O&R parts lot many years ago and I am trying to figure out what they went to. They have the same primer button as an
O&R carb and I figured that an extremely resourceful guy like David could help. Thanks in advance.
-
PM me for the diaphragm and/or gaskets that David is speaking of.
-
I have purchased some aluminum stock from Home Depot that was the same thickness, cut a small piece and filed it to size. Not real easy
dealing with such a tiny piece but I have done it many times with success. You MUST be innovative and resourceful with these things.
-
Yes, I have a chainsaw with a black starter. and I have seen others. It could be a replacement, also.
-
Aha, pretty cool if it worked!
-
David, is that your Nichols? Very nice! I have a Crème version that is about an 8 out of 10 compared to most that I have seen. I have never ran
mine and was wondering what the heck the batteries were for. Any idea?
-
Ahhhh! I get it! April Fools!
-
I have a hard time believing that one! Do you have a link?
-
A little story about the Little Wonder hedge trimmers. First, I believe that they have been around since the early 1900's. Second, from the guy that I bought
mine off of- he said that "his family owned a landscaping business in the 70's, when they purchased a new O&R powered hedge trimmer, they quadrupled
the amount of work that they could do in a days work" Third, the Little Wonder hedge trimmers made today are of the highest quality in the market.
-
David, I'm going to label you as the Top Detective of Ohlsson & Rice attachments. We need to find you a medal of some sort.
-
Ok, I received the spring today and would like to see where we are at. VW Tim, do you still need this part? If not, I am going to send the spring back to Wallfish.

Thanks John, this guy will appreciate it. He's a VW guy and has tons of engine experience.
-
You know, they call it holiday in the UK! Thanks!
-
I have the diaphragms and the ball but will be gone until the 20th. PM me if you are interested.
-
John, I have everything else and will put it together when I get back from vacation if you send me a spring. I would just put it in an envelope.
Let me know if you don't have my address. Thanks
-
I dug around and found everything but the "U" spring. I'm leaving for vaca on Friday, but if somebody can send me one, I will build a pump.
-
Hey John, can you help this guy out? He's missing the upper half of the carb. Not sure if I can piece one together or not...
