  1. I have never seen that carb. Almost looks like someone fitted an RC carb on it that would work. How is it attached? Maybe some close up photos?
  2. Not being smart, but looks like a rotor. To run tip top, both crankcase seals should probably be replaced. Be careful when taking these apart, there are many needle bearings that will start falling out. You are best doing it over a baking pan or Frisbee.
  3. I wonder if the engine has the rare rotary valve in it as opposed to the feather valve. It was also made by Octura, up's the HP and gives it a cool "pap, pap, pap, pap, pap" sound out of the exhaust. I have the only one that I have ever heard of. It could be that some people just don't know, you almost have to pull the intake apart to see.
  4. Almost looks like a Dumas Cracker Box.
  5. Rudy, thanks for the permission. We like to add photos of items that have not been seen before. Oddballs still pop up!
  6. Had a guy contact me about an engine in an RC boat with an exhaust that I have never seen before.
  7. Very cool videos! I love the second one.

  9. Anybody interested in one of the helicopters that were available with a glow version of an O&R? Very uncommon and were pricey in the day.
  10. JB Weld? Same stuff? Just never heard it called chemical metal.
  11. Chemical metal? What kind of stuff do you guys have over there???
  12. What about that other piece? I have had literally hundreds, into the thousand of O&R parts in my hand and have never seen that one. Not a bicycle application...
  13. David, you are an Engine Master and correct on all counts. The McCullochs were used on drones that were shot down as target practice. And yes, this is a gyrocopter. I took what the guy told me over the phone and mixed it up. Thanks for the correction!
  14. I helped a guy with some carb parts to get his O&R running. It is used to start a McCulloch drone engine that were used for fighter jet target practice back in the 70's. I had no idea that they existed.
  15. Hey John (Wallfish), These guys across the pond are beginning to pass us up...
  16. Do you mean the "Speedy Air" that sold? Looks like it will work!
  17. Thought I'd start a lit thread. Here are some of mine. Lot's more where these came from...
  18. Should have everything for that shroud, including a complete used one.
  19. Mr. Wallfish, the decals are actually very good quality. Look again at the direction of the 6300 rpm. Are you sure that it is in the opposite direction?!
  20. Aha! Good eyes on the outboard tank! I've been wondering what it went with since I've had it.
  21. Excellent explanations from David and John. both are very familiar with the older style carb. And John, you explained the parts thing to a tee. Hence the reason I liquidated most of my parts, although I don't mind keeping David stocked with anything that I have left! I have diaphragms and check valves and prefer cash in the mail for a lunch or six pack. No starter parts left.
