Gotta give'm an A for the effort. And an F for not using scissors to trim them. Looks like it might have worked for at least a little while.

I'm sure most of you have seen this, but scroll down quite a bit and there is is a good read on these engines, including the mention of a "hopped up" version for race enthusiasts.

I'm the guy that used to sell the diaphragms on ebay, probably about 600 of them. I'm pretty much done with that, but there are plenty of fellas that took over. I'm also the one with the two Youtube videos riding a Micro Power,  one was my son and is kinda funny how slow he is going. I sold the one in the video and still have another one that has never been fired up, bought both from the same guy. Good luck finding a Grasshopper, I looked for years and could not find the right size and color. I would settle with a plaid one, which seems more common, just have to find a big one. 

He loves the pain and aggravation...

I can see a couple of spots that need to be re-painted...

I started this hobby as a chainsaw collector, mostly Homelite, as it seems like you did. Then I discovered these mini saws and other attachments, realizing that I could fit more of these in to a smaller space! When I got my first one running and heard that cool airplane sound, it was all over. I still have a few pristine Homelites, though.
