Well....David, that is amazing! I am away from at the moment but have removed the tank and will measure it as soon as I get back and let you know directly. Re the pump, mine is almost brass coloured but I have only paid scant attention to it in the initial clean so I am more than likely completely off base. Will be back to you in a few days. Cheers and thanks to you all Rich. PS have come up with a small potential modification to allow me to use engine to power one of my Honda’s....

factory got a reaction from Stormin in Windy today on the southcoast
Had to dry out a couple of my O&R engines and some Tarpen tools on Sunday, the horizontal rain somehow got in under the lead flashing on the flat roof part of the shed.

Yup! This is the one. Please let me know if you need a diaphragm to go with it.
It's missing a spark plug but was running when I parked it.

Ha!😝 by the sound of it you guys can’t resist yourselves. Makes interesting reading regardless..... have started to gently remove the years of grime and while I still have lots more to do, it is already looking a little healthier....o

There is also one of these in my collection, but it's escaped the camera till now.
Mine is the 1HP version, the carb and aluminium cylinder plates were missing when I bought it.
I would have thought the original owner of the pump would have chosen the pipes/primer for their intended use when new.

I should have a soup can tank bracket if you need one. I still owe ya!

IMO they look better without the plastic cover. But if it does have one, it's good to keep it original.
Only the early covers have the threads on the covers. The majority will have the threads on the plates and the screw heads facing the recoil. Mustang style chainsaws have the threads on the tank and the cover and plate don't have threads.

Well Clint you need to pick up the pace a little on that fan the auger is almost done just need to sandblast and paint the
bit. The paint was all coming off just decided to repaint it. I can't do that today will need to wait tell next week.
Did you decide what that fan was used for??

factory got a reaction from CNew in Orline Cutoff saw
    Amazingly the extra guard piece is not shown in either the parts list or brochure leaflet, I only have pictures of three other Orline Circular Saws, it's only visible in this one (where it's fitted to the outside of the guard) link below;
It's hidden by the blade in the pictures of the other two saws I have.

Also the brochure confirms the blade size as 8" (same size as used on the Comet C/Saw), both an abrasive wheel and saw blade were available for the Orline Saw.

Just couldn't stand seeing this sit on epay any longer and really not sure why someone didn't grab it. Price was right for one of these more rare engines with a water cooled head, glow plug conversion and the remote control carb (not sure of the manufacturer). This thing has great compression, a pretty clean pull rope and barely any residue in the exhaust manifold. It has been run but certainly not much. Think I have 2 other water cooled engines so I guess it's time to find an old school boat to power up. This one has only the top portion of the head water cooled but I like to have the recoil start anyway. The type with full head water cool can go without a flywheel and blower housing to lighten them up if preferred.

Not 100% certain but this engine may have gone to a Rota Shear lawn edger. I came across this website and it looks to be a similar color. I contacted the owner and asked if he would post some additional photos. Look at the additional link on this page next to the little pics where he added some really nice high resolution photos.

I think this is the next project. Found it on Ebay last year for $37.50 will need a lot of work but need something to do anyway.
The side with the decal is in good shape . The oil and fuel tank will need some work along with the recoil.
Will get started over the holidays. By the way   ( Merry Christmas ) to all
