I’ve taken the carbs off the 2 engines to clean, also found a K141 but. That wouldn’t start either so i removed the carb to find a stuck inlet valve also found the carbs knacked. .
I then went and sat indoors with a cuppa and made some gaskets,

After moving everything in  the sheds I’ve found 2 Kohler K91 engines ,  by the looks of them they haven’t run for a while.
The green one I bought from Paul last year and the black one I’ve had years and can’t remember where it  came from.
The green one is missing the recoil starter and spinning it with the drill i found it had no spark, removed the points and cleaned and regapped and tried again, i did manage to get it to fire a couple of times but that’s all.
I’m going to strip the carb and put it in the altrasonic cleaner.
The black one was much the same although I did get it to run briefly so that one’s  carb is going in the cleaner’
While i was digging the cleaner out i found an Aspera engine cover with the same recoil starter but no cup so if anyone has one I’m looking.

    Well done Chris.

I know you've cleaned up and filled the centre, but I'd also tape it to protect the tube. But you'll have already thought of that no doubt.

Had another look at the rim today as to patching it up but it’s like tissue paper round the outer edge so i came up with an idea that was only going to cost some labour...
Starting with a good rim, cut it in half and then cut the rusty one in half weld the two good half’s together.

Forgot to say there is a but on one front wheel.

Went and collected 8 wheels and 2 seats from the sand blasters this  morning, they also sprayed them with 2k primer.
They were in a poor shape and very rusty so I’m very pleased with them and saved me a lot of work.

I’ve been sorting out front wheels for Bill and Ben.
I wanted to change the little 4 inch to narrow 8 inch, the original front spindles are too short so i fitted C series and they are too long
The bearings in the 8 inch wheels are one piece with an 1 inch ID and the Wheelhorse flange bearings are a direct fit .
Next job was to cut down the spindles and drill the centre hole deeper and cut a 3/8” thread.
All the wheels are now at the sand blasters.

This tractor has got to be one of the hardest I’ve every tried to take to bits, it’s a bastard most nuts arnt captive and you just can’t get at them, you unbolt something try to pull it off and then find it’s welded as well, this is going to be very interesting. 🙄 Can’t even get the engine out without dismantling all the body

Odd!  I've just plugged a second keyboard in and now the enter button on both keyboards is working!

While the weather was dry I gave some more of the outside woodwork a slap over with some wood preservative..
Unfortunatly the log cabin effect bits have had a coat or two of varnish so I will have to wait for another nice dry day and sand it all off before slapping the brown stuff on!

A bit more cladding was done inside yesterday using what ever boards we could find.. I quite like the mish mash of different planks

I should have enough planks to board up over the door and down the other side..
But that's for another day as all yesterdays sawing has knackered my right shoulder!!
All part of the fun eh!

Hi Norm, cosy it certainly will be, but hopefully it won't feel cramped..
Me!! Forget the kettle!!!    As if

Thanks Alan, yep slowly getting there.. Here's another update for you all

Thanks mate, I have a few ideas for smaller projects that will make building other projects easier and possible..

After moving lot's of boxes and bit's about the place some space was found!

Even my tatty but comfortable chair was found..

But most importantly this could happen... A moving moment as the 1st coffee's in the new shack were made

The insides of the double doors have been made more wind tight and strenthened with lot's of bit's of batten. They will get double skinned at some point.

Although I need to order some boards to clad the inside, I'm using what wood I have got at the moment..
So this small panel was clad with fake wooden floor stuff

To be continued shortly, the enter keys have both just died on my keyboard!

I do the same, cut down a raider frame the same as you. Interesting to see the fenders if you make them.

Thanks Ewan, I’m trying to build them on a shoestring using what ive got in stock, some of the parts don’t quite fit so I change them a bit.
I’m hoping they will end up something like a 502 or similar.

After a busy year i'm finally getting round to posting some photos, nearly a year later!
    so heres some photos.

Steering gear after a cleanup, I like the fact you can see red paint under the yellow. This is because a MF7E is a rebranded and repainted moto mower which were red.

Steering column, needed a good cleanup but been well greased so no wear.

Looking better after a bit of a clean.

Will try post some more photos later, having difficulty uploading them
