A bit more progress on the 600. To make repairs easier we removed all the panels. Some were easier to remove than others and we found a few surprises.
Alan, dad did help a little, once I had woken him up :-)
-
We used tyre soap on the edges but it did help too much, I could not believe how stiff those tyres were. I will try some washing up liquid next time, thanks
Thanks, the tyre machine is great although the cylinders will need to be rebuilt when time allows. Dad does hold the camera
-
Happy birthday Alain, I hope you had a great day.
Best wishes
Joseph and dad (Iain)

This is the second part of our 1962 Bolens 600 project. In this video we fit new tubes to the rear tyres to make the tractor more mobile.
In this video I tried to talk a bit louder, Norm let me know if this is better
-
We have started work on a new project, a 1962 Bolens 600. This tractor has been modified in the past and has lots of challenges. The tractor was bought in 2005 and has been in storage ever since. Like our other projects, I find it easier to record video rather than write up what we are doing, here is the first part
-
Looking forward to the pictures and updates. I keep telling dad we need to work on one of our WH's next
-
The Land Rover has great character. I have seen the reviews of the new model and I guess it does not look too bad but I think all the sensors and cameras will get torn off the first hedge someone drives through
I love it and I think the smile is permanent
-
Some friends in Canada asked for a video walk around of our Land Rover 90 so I made a quick video. When it came to driving it, I had a huge surprise as dad said it was time for my first driving lesson
-
Very sorry to hear about the difficult times you and your wife have been through and your WH builds will be missed. We continue to follow you on your new projects.
Very best wishes
Iain and Joseph

Better late than never, we have put together a short video of the event. Despite the rain it was a good event and great to catch-up with friends. We loaned our Bolens 900 to someone that could have been Alan's double
-
Dad said that last time he saw Alan smile that much was when he was driving the red Bolens 1054 around Johns
Thanks Alan. I think we may have dropped you in it. Hopefully we will put our TractorFest video together for next week, just as well you were not on the Bolens for that event too
-
We finally found the time to put a video together of our weekend at the Rural Past Times show on 10/11th August
-
Thank you for the best wishes. I had a great day except for it being a school day

I need a lot more practice with the ploughing but slowly making progress.
When i'm 17 the Land Rover 90 will be tax and MOT free which I think means it's mine, so it is not going anywhere
Paul, the show was in the village on Denton which is about 15-20 miles from us. The closest place you may recognise is Bungay. They were very pleased to see some horticultural equipment and would create our own section if we can get enough people interest. Are you up for it next time? More details - http://dentill.org
-
The new plough looks great. I think I need more advice from you on setting up a plough
-
Thanks Alan, I think anything is drier than Biddenden, despite a good wash we still have Kent mud on them
We saw this Field Marshall model at the show which is based on a WH. The owner spent a lot of time making it sound like the real thing.

Last Sunday we took four of our tractors to a local show called Dentill http://dentil.org which is in village of Denton. As it was local we decided to tow the trailer with our Land Rover 90, which we were asked to put in the classic car display. It was a great day and lots of fun.
A quick video of the show

A bit more progress on the 1964/5 Bolens 900. In this video we fit the new belt guide, battery tray and battery in preparation for the first test run.
Due to other commitments this is the last chance to fix any problems before RPT and we have booked the tractor into the show
-
Continued progress on the 1964/5 Bolens 900. In this video we work through the problems with the drive belts, make a new belt guide and fit the PTO
-
A bit more progress on the 900 and a parts delivery arrives from the US
-
Work continues on the Bolens 900. While we are waiting for some parts to arrive, we do some maintenance and repairs on the rear axle and PTO.
-
A bit more progress on the 900 today and it was time to see if the engine would run
-
Happy Birthday Chris! I hope you had a great day
Best wishes
Joseph and Iain
-
We had the chance for a little more progress on the 900 today, mainly aligning the steering and starting to look at the engine
-
A bit more progress on the 900 today by rebuilding the steering. A video update
