    Plough

Hi Just noticed your profile picky is of my Gutbrod 1032 where I have created hydraulic rear linkage.
  2. This is great. Thanks for the information . It also explains why there is so little info out there for this transaxle. It is still going and I will try to keep it in good order
  3. It had gear oil in when I drained it , but the tractor is new to me and not sure of its history. I do not think that gear oil is correct form the trans hydro pump.
  4. Merry xmas all!! Well had to get out in the workshop to escape from wrapping paper and roast spuds today. Decided to overhaul the trans axle on my Hayter lawn tractor. It is a Peerless 205 series and the information available is very sketchy. What oil do I run in the Hydrostatic pump??? I know that the diff requires gear oil and I drained gear oil out of the pump but I am sure this is not correct. I have read that people have use 20/50w engine oil, motor cycle oil , hydraulic oil and oil supplied by a part number . In my experience I would use ATF in the hydrostatic pump but what would you all suggest ??????? HELP please
  5. Brought out another one of the machines yesterday for a little garden clearing. 13hp chipper shreader. Noise but dose a great job towed with the old faithful Westwood.
  6. I may be incorrect but you are talking about 250, 300psi . Hydaulics are working at around 2500 psi and a non compressable medium. if you are using electrics then how about a cheep winch. I used one on a quad bike and it worked great.
  7. At this rate if it dose snow we won,t need the council we will have an army of small volunteers. I went and cleared the local primary school of snow when they called for help to re open it after a bit of snow. Lots of parents turned up with brooms and shovels. I turned up with a Kawasaki quad with a blade on. It didn,t take very long to clear and the kid thought it was great as they had great walls of snow for ages afterwards.
  8. This is my lad several years ago on the old wheel horse. Will it snow this year?????

    Brott 20 mower

Looks like a rattling good ride
  10. I was thinking front mounted plough as well
  11. It will take longer to get the hose made
  12. Spending a few hours making the Husky linkage fit the Gutbrod and made it hydraulic lift. Stripped the ram, Ex forklift tilt ram , And extended the stroke. Took quite a time to figure out the stroke position but very happy with the amount of lift .
  13. Just picked up this spinner spreader and the ex Husqvarna plough blade and frame . Just got to make it fit the Gutbrod now
  14. Not the best photo but two can play at that game

    Brinly plough

Can I add me name to the list of looking for a Brinly plough
  16. Some great looking engineering . Superb job
  17. Hell what a machine . Thats sort of what i had in mind but that looks a big set up .
  18. Great looking bit of kit. I am thinking of making something to mow over the edge and down into a ditch. Thinking along the lines of a push rotory mower side mounted to allow over the bank.
  19. The only new parts are the 50mm hitch and the chain rest was mainly scrap
  20. CAN YOU TELL WHAT IT IS YET!! Who can recognise the parts ?? After I changed the engine on my Gutbrod 1032 I had a very heavy mower deck. I also had a small Murrey ride on with no deck. I have several areas of grass which are right upto very large hedges so it has alot of suckers growing underneath. I made this trailed mower to get under the hedge and cope with the brush without getting scratched when mowing. it can be towed directly behind a machine or to either side. It is the hole Gutbrod deck and the rear chassis mounting the engine from the Murry. Hight adjustable via old jocky wheel and solid rear tyres. It proves to be that successful I had to put flaps at the rear as it was throwing sticks 20ft out the back.
  21. She has Gone !!!! A man came along and bought it to move caravans! dosen,t look like it will be restored just used as it is . Happy tractors
  22. Yes it is a good tractor but I already have a much modified Gutbrod 16hp and 3 other tractors and just don,t have the space for her inside . I would hate for it her deteriorate because of being left out over winter. It is ready for a cosmetic referb and would give someone many happy hours as a great show or plough tractor with the right linkage.

  24. Unfortunately Not. But would like to take it one year.I have Got plough, disc cultivator and rotovator . my problem is if I take the caravan I can,t take the Tractor. Could drive it there I supose!!
