  1. Had a nice day outside in the sun making a mower for cutting down the ditch on the side of the road. I had made a pulpit to stand on when cutting hedges, That was made from a worn out tractor mounted , lawn brush. I have mounted a very rusty mower deck to the side and lifted by a electric winch sat on the back. I will take more photos when i test it
  2. Check carb main jet and also emulsion tube. They will block with crystals from stale fuel . Long brass tube with lots of holes in the sides. You may have to push the tube out .
  3. Had an issue last year where the charging system collapsed in the engine . Magnets came off and smashed all the coils in the flywheel. I have now mounted a small alternator under the seat and running it off the pto pulley. Belts are close but not touching. May change for a larger pulley to turn the alternator faster.
  4. Health and safety all looking good
  5. Correct me if i am wrong but it looks like your ploughing deeper with the new set up than you did last year. Hope it pulls as well .
  6. very nice looking job . Well done
  7. 12 is listed as p.t.o shaft and 17 is listed as thrust ring

    Plough Mod.

Proper looking bit of kit . Nice !
  11. Great little project. I think it is good to get the little ones involved at an early age. I have fitted a hydraulic brake to a westwood before. I used a pushbike hydraulic front brake master cylinder and caliper to get much better brakes on the standard transition brake disc.
  12. Ballasted rear wheels , Rear wheel weights, front wheel weights and a rear weight if I need it. I do have chains but never found we needed them yet. and if that fails we will push it with the Motostandard and the quad bike .... Got to keep going
  13. My lad is on leave , and couldn,t wait to get the plough out and play in the melting slush.
  14. Well we had to give it a go, remember where we put all the kit ,fit it and have a play
  15. Have you not used the disc yet? looks like it is loosing the trash ok
  16. Just had a go with it as a hedge cutter in the upright position, works quite well but would be better on my Gutbrod 1032 with the reduction hubs in to slow down forward speed and increase blade speed
  17. No sign of any Date plate under the rear hitch . I will keep investigating. I didn,t know if the Manuel has any real value or whether its just a nice thing to have. It has a original sales leaflet as well . Some of the data is definitely interesting.
  18. I am guessing around 50s but maybe someone could tell me its year? Cutter dose work well . I tryed it on very short grass and it still cuts .
  19. Opps ! How did that happen ? I was driving down the road and I found this in my trailer Just bought another tractor. Allen Oxford Motostandard with finger bar mower and including a gen owners and parts manual. Everything works great and the only missing thing is one front indicator lens is missing . Now need some long grass to mow .
