It's looking good Nigel, but when do I get the "we need your test driving skills" call?
  3. Happy I could help get your welder sorted Daniel

That's great stuff Neil, I'd love one of those living vans for the garden
  5. I didn't get as much done yesterday as I had hoped due to having to play nurse to a poorly wife, but good progress was made. At the end of play yesterday I sat down with a coffee and was looking at the underside of the outrigger.... Can you spot something odd? You see the manufacturing lines in the part that has been lowered.... Both ends don't have them on the underside which can mean only one thing....... Yes, that's right.. When I welded the center of the outrigger back in, I had it upside down!!! It's a bit late to do anything about it now though, but all should not be lost.. As the axle hole was in the center of outrigger, it should still be in the right place even though it's the wrong way up... All I need to do is turn the bearing block holder thingy through 180 degrees and everything should bolt back up
  6. Great photo's Charlie, looks like a great show

What are you saying about my driving Nigel? Just because I showed the boys how not to drive those racing machines
  8. Thanks Koen, no idea on the measurements yet, I've been to busy nursing my poorly wife this morning and welding the 6x6 this afternoon.. There are disc conversion kits make for this axle.. I wonder what pcd they have? Thanks Doug, a pair of 12" wheels that bolt straight on would open up a few more options.. I'd best reply to your PM The Reliant axles are tapered at the hub end which would make them interesting getting a Wh hub on, but they do have a keyway.. That's maybe another option.
  9. Are you sure about that Nate? It's so heavy two people can only just lift it, it would cost a small fortune to ship to Boston!
  10. I saw you had posted this on YT today, it looks like it rides quite well.. Love the gheto camera
  11. I'm working on that one, as Norm say's, see Project "Why Not" How does a motorcycle engine in a Webb mower sound? http://myoldmachine.com/topic/256-webb-cylinder-mower-turns-into-a-trike/
  12. I'm not sure I'd want to be in the same room with it, yet than have a go at using it!! That's a scary chainsaw Ben, thanks for posting it
  13. I really need to make some pallet forks for the GT's 3 point The Reliant Rialto 2 Axle had arrived Unwrapped and on the bench.. All the oil on the left side is due to a certain delivery company thinking it is fine to stand the axle on it's end in a truck or van!! As you can see it's a tad wide and will narrowing quite a bit to make it fit.. Should be interesting as I've never narrowed and axle before, but there is plenty of info out there on the internet One of the fun parts is going to be getting this 5 x 4 1/2" PCD wheel to fit... The 4 x 4" PCD Reliant hub and brake drum! The PCD's are too close together to make a "traditional" adapter plate, so the only way I can come up with is to make 2 adapter plates, one for the Reliant hub and one for the WH wheel, then bolt both adapter plates together... We shall see, no time for "Why Not" at the mo as I need to get the 6x6 done before the 10th!! Eeekk!
  14. Thanks for that Doug. I think the problem is I'm asking something that wasn't designed for this sort of job to put up with too much strain and weight! I'm hoping the "Wheel job" will take some off the strain out.. Hi Charlie, I've no idea how much she weighs, but at a guess I'd say a lot It would be good for her to loose a few kilos.. The dirt can stay for now, all being well she is off to a working weekend next weekend and would only get covered in muck and dust anyway Thank you Sir, I'm hoping it will help the steering and straining out a bit.. I'm also hoping that the farmer does not plow the field behind my house before I've had a chance to give the 6x6 a good thrashing across it.. Well, I need to test the modification's out A small update... The right side outrigger now looks like this.. I hope to have it finished by the end of the day..
  15. Thanks guy's, it's getting there... A small progress report.. The right side now looks like this.. During strip down I found yet another cracked in two taper-lock bush!! Good job I have a few spares And for some strange reason, one of the chain tensioner sprockets had decided to spit out one of it's bearing!! Not a problem as I have spares.. The outrigger has been stripped of paint and will be getting sliced and diced today..
  16. I think you should go for the "Tall mini monster truck" look with it Nigel
  17. No stopping you now Richard, I bet the poor mower doesn't know what's hit it "Outcome is that they will fabricate a New 5 Blade Cylinder on the Original Spindle and provide a new Bottom Blade." I didn't know that sort of service was available!! That's fantastic
  18. A great use for a hoover Norm, I need to rig one of those up.. I'm using crushed glass in my blast cabinet, it's maybe a bit too coarse but I can't remember what size grade it is.
  19. Fantastic photo's Koen, it looks like it was a very good and very large show If I could take a couple home it would be the earlier version of Nigel's Noddy Holder and the wooden back pick-up thing with the triangle on the back
  20. Did you not get my PM Doug? I'd best send you another one
  21. Your right Mark.. This was the view yesterday morning.. The buzzards seem to like it though, the harvest makes for easy pickings
  22. Good to see the MOM stickers out Guy's, the best advertising we can get
  23. As the General isn't running, just borrow the axle from that
  24. The harvest finally started here today.. Here it comes.. A bit hard to miss As was the dust!!
