Ater a weekend of trundling round rally fields the Sears continues it's travels North on an open back trailer.
-
Good photos mate, I'll try and stay out of the tea tent and do some photos myself today.
-
Had a drive over to Newby hall this morning and delivered the Roper to the new owner.
he looked quite pleased with it.
-
I'm already up north, only 15 minutes to Newby Hall.
-
I think some of the oil cans have leaked on the way up north,
it said on the news there's a 300 mile oil slick from south to north of the country .
police are looking for a van full of empty cans
-
Dearly beloved, we gathered at Johns today for the collection of the Sears Roper where it has been kept for the last few months in a nice warm workshop wrapped in blankets.
It was pulled from the brambles years ago and nursed back to life by Alan and his heeling hands and now due to lack of storage he has to pass it on reluctantly to a new owner.
A very sad day as he tried to stop me loading it into the awaiting Sprinter all without success.
Heres some photos of the proceedings.
Hankys at the ready
-
I like the wheelhorse with the toolbox on the front
-
Yes Chris, it was sold age's ago
-
I might have bought it by then.
-
Wondered why there are more photos of it than anything else.
-
Looks like you had a good day.
-
Well done Norm, I managed to sneak the Bolens in the top shed where the roundhoods were parked and threw a sheet over it.
Pam was indoors watching tv
-
They wont sell anything Chris.
-
Might take you a while to get down south with that and I don't think it will fit in my driveway
-
Only the Toro Professional 3 wheeler in photo 16

Paul would know, he has one and done a lot of work to it
-
Had the coastguard helicopter over us this morning, don't know if it was a boat load of imagrants or someone fell of the cliff.
the pub carpark was full of police cars and the helicopter sent down a dope on a rope but he didn't come up with body

-
Still some room in the log store, but where am I going to put my Wheelhorse stuff now.
-
Finished splitting them this afternoon and Pam stacked them in the log store.
These are the wedges that i used, they split so easy it's like cutting a big cake
I get a good barrow full from 2 slices
-
You better hurry up before i split them
Or you can cut your own when you come down
-
Cut nine more slices off the old oak but its hard going and very heavy.
-
I think your right Koen, i just had a look on the bay and they are very similar.
never thought of finding marine stuff at johns, must be off a sea-horse.
