You can join the Little Petro Group and we can learn, trade, find info about obtaining parts, share photo's & etc. I'm not a fan of facebook myself but wish you luck with the group, if anyone on your group needs help with the O&R engines found on the earliest batch of Little Petro minibikes feel free to send them here. krackermeal55 5 #52 Posted December 4, 2019 I was blessed by Steve Grier with lots of original brochures and paperwork for the Tas family of engines. Very cool stuff. I'll get the scanner out, and hook it to the old laptop. Post some pics of them. Stand by
krackermeal55 5 #53 Posted December 30, 2019 Well...decided to put the 1.2 horsepower Tas motor used in the Aqua-bug/Bike-bug and Sears Gamefisher outboards in my second Petro. Besides more horsepower, the coil is neatly positioned inside the flywheel cover, and the intake port is actually in the cylinder. There are no reed valves. The gearbox side has the same 3 hole pattern, and crank end has same length/taper. I will be modifying this to produce more power by way of increased compression, porting and carburetor/exhaust improvements. Wait till you see the tiny expansion chamber I build! World's fastest Little Petro??? 1 factory reacted to this
CNew 404 #54 Posted December 30, 2019 Very cool! I have one of those little outboard motors and the 1.2 has some real power, that’ll be one impressive Little Petro! 1 krackermeal55 reacted to this
Craig H 1 #55 Posted December 30, 2019 Think all I need to complete my Little Petro is the gas tank mounting bracket!! 1 krackermeal55 reacted to this

H Killackey 6 #61 Posted July 23, 2020 I looking for ANY parts OR whole motor for a Tanaka P-7 or P-5. I need a carburetor also. I have a non working Little Petro that I want to restore.
H Killackey 6 #62 Posted July 23, 2020 Hello - I need a TAS Tanaka P-7 or P-5 engine and carburetor. I also need the plastic air cleaner that was on the carburetor of the old P-7.
factory 487 #63 Posted July 24, 2020 No need to post the same request twice in two days, they aren't that common, possibly no one on here has one they want to part with, I haven't got any early TAS engines in my collection yet, only a later & much larger one. A similar style carb is used on my 1.5HP Fuji (FMC) kit engines, but it does look a bit little larger. David
Sallymonster 0 #64 Posted July 5 I’m looking for any P7 parts also for a lil Petro. Especially a carb.
H Killackey 6 #65 Posted July 7 Tanaka P7 engine parts including the Keihin carburetor are very very hard to come by. You might consider getting a replacement carb but you will probably have to get/make an attachment collar. I also suggest joining the FB Little Petro Group
Wallfish 698 #66 Posted July 8 I'm think'n I can repop one these bikes too just like the Micro bike was. Measurements would certainly be helpful but the Micro was done just by studying pictures.
