Now that would be cool... How short will it be on the tracks? The shorter the track and wheelbase the quicker it will turn.

A few more, these were models!
This one was 1/3 scale and ran
Attention to detail was something else, powered by a 3 cylinder JCB engine with modified BMC parts and home made rear end.

Whilst on hols in Dorset, we popped across the border to the Honiton hill rally. A lot of steam and tractors with a working area - 3 acres of wheat to harvest!

Charlie, think I've answered this before...
My C-101 is panted in crown flame red, which I think is the closest match to the late 70's Belgian models.
Everything else is painted in international harvester red from vapormatic, I think Ian and Andy both use the same too - though there's is a different make that brushes on better...

I'm on ac, but I made the number up because I couldn't be bothered checking the box I think they are actually 6013.... You are right 6010 are dc only.

The principle might work, but it reckon by the time I've welded and ground I can cut a full length keyway. About half of the hub is knackered too, so hoping I can fix it.

Are you welding on full tilt with a decent rod? Decent rods make all the difference, the cheap mild steel 6010 type ones I use are not very good.
Also I think you will never get a brilliant weld onto the cast bushes. The weld cracks as it cools, I've had the same issue a few times.

Last update before holiday and the GDSF...
Some more painting, just as I pressed the trigger on the spray gun the heavens opened
Painted the front hubs, there's some work to do though as one is really badly chewed up, the axle definitely needs a new keyway cutting. I thing that's easier than trying to weld it up!

Look up 1" npt fittings, I used them to redo my GT14. Failing finding some npt, look for bsp fittings. They are not exact, I think it's about 1 thread per inch, but given the coarseness and the fact they never screw in that far it works - just.
Well it did for me... I'm fortunate my local plumbers merchant let's me buy stuff to try but take them back
