I've pondered using one for a while norm, ever since my brother rebuilt his 200 tdi and I saw how dinky the pump is and easy to mount.
It's just the rest of the system that adds a lot of cost, spool valves, cylinders and plumbing isn't cheap...

Final strengthening plates on the rear sub frame, just needs painting.

That's about it, I have been cleaning and painting four wheels - no pics, it's a bit dull.
Gonna be slow progress for a while, got a weekend with my mates in cambridge next week followed by final show of the year at driffield.

That's 800 psi from a the PAS pump, same as the charge pump on a hydro transmission.
Should work well, if I can mount one as a reverse idler I might fit one on bendy

You need to split the casing Ian and look inside. It might shim up enough to be serviceable again. What's the model number of the quad? Can we look at the parts manual and see?
