  1. Nice looking tractor, Mike, and that little stack is the dogs whatsits. Proper job!
  2. He didn't manage to sell it you then, Andrew?
  3. Looks nice and tidy now. Could fancy it mesel'. But NO! I don't want to buy it before you ask Nigel.
  4. Re-fitted them today. Gave them a little test pulling the saw bench to the workshop. Before, the wheels would just dig holes in the loose stones. With the weights fitted, pulled the SB up the slope from where it resides and into the yard with no wheel slip whatsoever.

    MG6 Loader

I don't think it would take much weight to lift the back end. That loader is a long way forward.
  6. Did a bit of measuring the other day and they did stick out further than the tyres. So another mod has been done. Off with the lids and replaced with filler. Not perfect, but they'll do the job.
  7. Carol likes the first photo of the Highland cow/bull? She fancies doing a painting of it. Could you possibly e-mail me it please?
  8. It's not tigers that are a danger. Stuffed or otherwise. Its the Haggie. Especially in the mating season.
  9. We ad more than that yesterday. Temp's -5c at least. The mercury in the thermometer outside has disappeared. Southerners don't know what snow is, Neil.
  10. Very interesting. I understood the very in depth, clear and thorough explanation of the workings of this marvellous invention.
  11. It is Ewan, but not for the tractor. For the towing vehicle that towed it to it's new home.
  12. That looks in very good condition. Get the steering box sorted, a wipe with an oily rag and it'll be ready to show. Hope to see it at Biddenden in August.
  13. I've fitted those primer bulbs to my C-125 Work Horse and to the C-121 Black Horse. Saves a lot of cranking. I intend to also fit them to the C-81 and Sears/Roper.
  14. I wonder what that was modified for?
  15. One of my thoughts as well, Chris. But I don't think they'll stick out further than the tyres. We'll see.
  16. Got some more lead the other week. Eldest-son-in-law said he'd got some from when he's had roof repairs done. I only wanted about 50lb but came back with 400lb. So up to the farm today, fired up the oxy/acet and topped up the weights. Guess work how much lead to add, more by good luck than judgement, the weights have ended up the same. 56lb. To tidy things up I found a couple of plastic bucket lids to replace the existing ones. Eight self drilling/tapping roofing screws and things looked better. Quick spray of primer. They'll get another coat and a couple of top coats before I refit them.
  17. Superb job, Ewan. I know where to go if I need any painting done.
  18. He'll have room in his van, Ewan. He's not bringing anything up for me this time. Not that I can remember anyway.
  19. Surprised Thomas Grahams didn't have any. Must be an odd size. Sorry to hear about your arm. You never mentioned it when I came to see you. Or is it since then? Hope you'll be ok for the Edinburgh show.
  20. I would say it looks more than pretty decent, Ewan.
  21. Your family will have christened you Dusty by the time you'd got that done.
  22. As Angus says, straightening it would be dodgy. Besides what he has said, is it possible the get the split welded and then the plate skimmed flat?
  23. My entries posted today. C-81, Black Horse and Sears/Roper. Also Teagle Jet Cut Hedge Trimmer.
  24. Think I'll stick with Staub Lunic. I can pronounce that.
