  1. I can see what you mean about the new plough. Not your usual high standard. Look more like mine.
  2. Those furrows made with your new plough, George?
  3. Same to you Chris. No eggs here. Bar of chocolate maybe!
  4. Bit rotten in the middle that trunk. Time for it to be down. Machine Mart sell a handy grinder for sharpening chains.
  5. Well done Dave. They should make the Showman happy. Maybe?
  6. Happy Birthday, Jonathan. You kept it quiet. I've been in your company all day and neither you or Janet said a word.
  7. Happy Birthday, Gareth. Hope you have a good one.
  8. Don't know for sure. I've never had I happen. Just a thought. You could try swapping them round.
  9. Tractors now loaded on trailer and in workshop, ready for Friday morning. Just need to load the Disco tomorrow and maybe give it a wash. Maybe!
  10. Possibly. Maybe sticking needle valve holding the carb float down? Is the carb flooding? Are you sure you have the fuel pipes the right way?
  11. We've been lucky down here on the Solway plain, being just on the edge of the bad weather. Except for strong arctic winds. Up on the high ground and in the Lake District, lots of roads and passes have been closed/blocked. A66 as been closed and the North East and Scotland has had plenty. Hopefully this is the last of it. The hill farmers have suffered, being lambing time. Lot of sheep and lambs lost.
  12. Putin's maybe seeing how far he can push things. He's said he would like the Soviet Union back. Russian subs have been active for some time round our coast lines. All we can hope for is things don't escalate to far. All the trouble in the middle east doesn't help. Neither do the likes of Trump and co. Or throwing accusations around with out proof.
  13. Looks like it does. On a closer look it locates in notches to allow different positions.
  14. That looks to me as if it's for trenching, from the shape of the blade? Can't think what else it could be for with those tracks. Be useful with a grader blade or gravel rake. Can a dozer blade/snow plough be somehow fitted to the front?
  15. She wants it to go shopping.
  16. I've the only one I know off. A Sears/Roper. You can read all about it's rebuild by Alan on here. Step by Step Restoration. It's a 1978 GT16 with B&S twin engine. '78 the only year this particular model was made. Roper built tractors for Sears.
  17. Pam's done a good job of the lawn with it. You'd best be careful or she'll claim it. The photos really show the size of the beast. Fifth wheel on the back and a swan neck trailer next?
  18. You'll be lucky to find one over here. Any that come up for sale soon get snapped up. BTW.
  19. A bit of an up date. After I got the deck all built up, I noticed as it sat on the table, the right hand scalp roller was clear of the table, by 1-1/2 inch. I hadn't noticed when I stripped the deck, but the right hand side is slightly bent up. Discharge side. So it's all stripped down again and waiting to be taken to the farm round the corner. Lad there is a qualified motor mechanic and has a nice big fully equipped workshop. So we're going to see if we can straighten it with one of his presses.
