update on my project, skimmer fixed, plough share altered to fit, oiled with owtrol oil looking good but the proof of the pudding will be in the eating will know on 15 Th February hope you like
Here is one or two photos of walk behinds sit ons and views of Scotland Dougal enjoying a tea break, a sit on at attention, a garden next door to our holiday home that we look after takes 4 hours to cut with walk behind,a view of the house a converted mill built 1856.Some pics of Blair Atholl castle hope you like
Going through my folders found these,my first restoration a Anzani Iron Horse hope you like, good thing about it is that it is not far away and still have a go with it at our ploughing matches and it is another one saved
I retired in 2005 and this was my first go at restoration as you can see it was rough the engine was stripped and new rings added all cleaned out and put together still runs well
The picture of tractor on the trailer was when I took it to the first rally
Wee bit more done to plough skimmer fixed, ploughshare in place but needs some work seems to be coming along well, next will be lifting chains, will be altering disc wheel to complete the plough hope you like
This is plan B it is taking shape I have done away with tool frame at this time
I have fixed it the same way as original plough except there is more scope for a disc ,manure skimmer or a scotch skimmer in the next move I may try a disc and a skimmer combined.
The tractor lifts the set up with no effort which is good something I could not to with lift hand and wire rope
I use Stihl petrol same as aspen two mixture on my chain saws and my combi hedge cutter had to adjust combi engine they all run sweet now.I am also starting to run my merry tillers that I show on Stihl 4 stroke petrol so far no problems
As you know when we show we only run the engine if and when required and do not use a lot of petrol
Have you a drill with hammer drill, put a socket on it little larger than pin plenty of release oil on pin and hammer drill the pin the oil will vibrate down the pin slow job but works
Something to try Get an electric drill with hammer action use a socket on it larger than the pin use plenty of release oil on pin use the hammer drill to vibrate the pin it my be enough to get it free worth a try has worked for me
I am at the moment fitting a mid mounted mower to my tractor it was made for the Gutbrod, also the tank and pump fitted to the mudguard is a hand pump made to lift the rear linkage it works better than a wire rope and a hand lever as you can now add weights to the plough if and when required
