I’ve toyed around with the idea of getting an ultrasonic cleaner, maybe some day...

I should be done with the live the first week of Nov. and then the hunt for more O&Rs can continue...

I have some of the little steel balls. I ended up buying a bag of each size.  If you’re not in a hurry I could probably get you one in November. All my stuff is packed up for a move.

Man it’s hard not being able to work on these things and look at them...
If you’re in a hurry the diaphragm and gasket can be purchased on eBay...

    David,
    Thanks for the reply.
It must be a 1hp (not labeled). Okay, I will search ebay for a intake cover. But it seems like it won`t be to hard to make one. What are my options for the diaphragm?
I haven`t tinkered with this for awhile, but would love to get it running. I believe, I cleaned the carb out, replaced the fuel line and cleaned out the gas tank. It has good compression
and will start if sprayed with starter fluid. This motor was given to me over 10 years ago with the manual. Unfortunately my 1700`s farm house took priority over all else.

I wasn’t able to get the price I wanted but it’s hard to pass it up when it’s in your hands. It does have some damage on the mount but I probably won’t actually use this for its intended purpose. The camo paint is a let down, would be much better if it had the original paint scheme. Turns out this is actually an outboard produced by Clinton and its a model K-150.  My eye must be getting sharper. I was just scrolling through Craigslist and the recoil starter is what caught my attention - I knew it had to be a 13B or 20A...

Recent addition to the collection is a Derby Tiller. Here are the as-received photos. Definitely needs a good clean-up.  It might be a little while before I get to this one but I’ll add some photos as soon as I can do an initial wipe down.

Picked up this cool little water pump this morning. It has a Type 217 engine. This one is about as simple as they come.

CNew reacted to Generatorguy in Tiny Tiger? (POWR-MITE Generator Model 3)
    Hi all,
One of the kids who work for me picked up this little generator at an estate auction.  It didn't run but was together (unsure if complete) when he bought it.  He took it to a local small engine shop and as you'll see from the pics, came back in a box.  So now it's my project and I've never worked on anything like this before.

Stampings are: Type 111 on the exhaust side, 048537 on the carb side, and a large 11 or II on the pto end.

I've scoured this forum and have seen lots of tiny tigers but this one appears to be older and with a different alternator than the tigers.  The diaphragm looks homemade, the spring roller is missing (I found the ball wedged under the spring thankfully),  the felt washer and cup for the recoil are missing, obviously the recoil doesn't work, but everything else seems to be accounted for.

I have managed to put the recoil back together and ready to go back in, the carburetor body and parts I have are all cleaned up.

I'm wondering if i can just cut down a diaphragm for a bigger carb or if the material will be too thick.  I'm working on tracking down needle rollers of the right diameter to use for the spring roller but not sure how much luck I will have.  I have no idea what to do about the missing recoil parts.

Any suggestions or advise you may have would be great.  Thanks!

    Just some additional pics...

Here is another part I have made for the Aquabug, the carbs don't have the usual air filter, instead they have a gauze filter held with a plastic retainer.

Neither of my two Aquabug's had the gauze so I cut a piece to size, I made a retainer from a shortened plastic end cap with a hole cut in the end.

Here is my newest addition. I picked up this Sugar Bush Supplies Company drill for tapping Maple trees. This company was based out of Lansing, Michigan.  The gentleman I bought this from was super nice and knew a few things about it after he contacted the company. This may be 1 of only a few made. It has the original box and an interesting modification to the carburetor choke lever. A little lever has been attached to help with accessing it since the motor is really crammed up inside the housing. I cleaned out the gas tank today as it was full of sludge and some rust. I’ve got more photos but I’ve hit the limit for file size.

I picked up this cool unit yesterday. The guy I bought it from said he made a weed eater with it back in the 1970s. He said the handle was a simple 1/2” conduit that threads onto the base.  After looking it over more the engine has some features that I don’t think I’ve seen before. The carburetor is kind of unusual and doesn’t have the little hole where the usual threaded hook screw attaches for the air cleaner.  I’m not actually sure how an air cleaner would connect. It also has different style “fins” on the bottom.  It’s marked Type 110.  Let me know if anyone has more info that can help date the engine.

Been working a lot this week just found some time to work on my saw . Made a cardboard stencil  of a cover then cut it out of some tin.
Then brazed it together a little sanding and I have a cover. came out ok for the first one. now I might need to paint the rest.

Here is my latest addition, a Pony Express bicycle engine with original manual. The exhaust pipe and muffler don’t really have any carbon residue. The tank is also clean inside. Some paint chips and general wear from age but overall a nice unit.

I’m sure this has happened to all of us but I thought I’d share my most recent O&R miss.  I was poking around on Craigslist this morning and saw a yard sale add that had some old looking fishing gear and stuff so I decided to click on it just for grins. Low and behold there was an O&R Ice Auger (Herter’s Model) tucked away in a pile of stuff and it looked in really good shape. Of course the yard sale was on its last day but I pinged the listing anyway and sure enough it had already sold. At $20 someone should be very happy while I’m bummed... all part of the hunt I guess.
