  1. Alan, Good to see you're posting your restoration on your Roper; you did a fabulous job on it as I can testify when I dropped in back in June.
  2. I remember seeing that on eBay about 4 or 5 months ago. Good to see it in your hands. Have you got the Tractor Legacy Series: Garden Tractors by Oscar H Wills III? A very informative read and a good write up on Bolens and other American GTs.
  3. Tj There's life in the old codger yet!
  4. That's relief Mark. Mind you I wouldn't mind partying and meeting girls again!
  5. Worth keeping the QT as you got it running sweet now.
  6. I agree with Chris about trying to keep the original engine in if possible. By the way Nick, your new avatar is a lot better than yesterday ! Very cool.
  7. Tidy job and does the job as designed.
  8. That's a steal Alain. A great package for some lucky fella.
  9. I must have missed that one....twice!
  10. You win some and you loose some. Was that HT23 up in Yorkshire?
  11. Don't tell me anymore ! LOL The guy in N Devon knew the owner of the Bolens but the son did a job lot to save time and hassle. He was well annoyed to have been bypassed as he was supposedly meant to have first dibs on it.
  12. Anything in Norfolk is Iain's domain ! As for Devon, I don't think they turn up that often except that H16. Abbey Mowers is that in Tavistock? There was guy in N Devon telling me about a LF Bolens early last year but nothing came of it as his contact sold up to someone else. I am wondering if yours 1886 is that one?
  13. Yes it's addictive this Bolens Bug. The only cure I know is to buy another one!
  14. I like the style of the QT series but decided just to concentrate on the Tube Frames ones and the RAMs. Do you use your Bolens?
  15. I just been looking at your photos in the gallery. How many Bolens have you got?!
  16. I saw that near Exeter back in the summer and was very tempted. Did you get it up and running ok?
  17. PM sent! That's a lovely looking tractor you got. Would love one for myself one day....... Radmore and Tucker are still going strong in Exeter and I often pop in to buy stuff for my line of work.
  18. Might look better with a large Bolens White body.......... LOL
  19. If that was Cheese and Onion I would snap that up!
  20. That looks very tidy that Westwood. A nice find.

    Bolens 1556

Another great one for your growing collection Chris. Glad you managed to get it past Liesa's approval!
  22. Alain, another great score you got. I must get a bigger engined Bolens at some point . Is that a wheel trim on the back wheels? Will you be doing this one up? That dump trailer is a good find too.
  23. Great workmanship Noel and a tidy workshop it will be too.
  24. A very Happy New Year to all from a wet and windy Devon! Cheers Andrew
