  1. I have gone through my paperwork (which got the Bolens/Haban models in it) and seen that the Haban Sickle mo is model 425 in one of the photos... It's for the Simplicity Landlord tractor..... My fault entirely. I got two options. Sell it or buy a Simplicity Landlord...... Back to the Operation. Dave, tidy work there on the fork lift. Cheers
  2. Mine is, I think the 415a model. It's a beast to move around. The plan is to hitch up to the 1254 sometime. Here are some photos, albiet of poor quality. I will take some properly.
  3. Great photos and a great story too. You can really see the difference in size between the tractors. The 600 look fantastic. I would love to get a Haban flail mower as well. I take it that they come in different sizes? It must be a joy to move your heavy implements around with your fork lift. I have seen your fork lift tractor before but on the trailer it look really cool and unusual. Did the previous owners/ users appreciate its rejuvenation? I see you have the Haban sickle bar mounted on another Bolens. Which model is that one? Thanks for sorting out the crate and you got a great set up there with that very American timber frame building in the background.
  4. Alain, I love the background history of your tractor. I, too, always like to know about my tractors' history too. It is all part of the hobby to my mind. And yes Iain does not miss a trick on the details of these Bolens either! Which is why I run a few things pass him for his scrutiny. Again a great looking tractor and I feel I need one myself at a later date. Andrew
  5. One of my customers' neighbour in Dittisham got a old Westfield from around that era parked up in the orchard. The gardener uses it from time to time and it always fires up first go. Amazing as it is outside in all weathers. I will try and take a photo of it when I am next out there.
  6. Thanks for the photos Alain. Dave, I didn't know it was on there as I only got the one photo of it from Joe. Here hoping that the lift rod turn up today. Cheers
  7. That's a lovely vintage cylinder mower. I use to mow the Croquet Lawn at Castle Drogo with a 42 " Dennis mower which in my professional opinion is one of the nicest cylinder mowers on the market at the time. You can't beat them for presentation.
  8. Alain, Can you take a photo of your sleeve hitch decals please as I just bought one myself. Be good to try to get one made up if possible. Thanks Andrew .
  9. I agree, keep it original and preserve it patina. Once it gone, it gone.
  10. Alain, You done a superb job on the H16 and those tyres look the business. Cheers
  11. I have a sold a few bits and bobs on eBay over the years but the one thing that stuck in my mind was when I was selling a 5 foot long trailer which had very little use and was in full working order. The 'buyer' contacted me saying he was interested and could I meet him in Exeter at one of the services with the trailer as he live in Axminster. I replied that I only live 10 minutes from Exeter but I reluctantly agreed I would meet him with the trailer for the full asking price. I said I would meet him at 10 the following morning, a Sunday at the service station. He replied it was too early, could I not meet him at 2 and at B&Q? At this point I terminated the meet. What a waste of my time. However, that evening, a guy from Cornwall contacted me and asked if it's still available and I said yes. He said great could he pick it up at 8 the following morning? I said yes but I was really expecting him to turn up on time or even turn up. At 8 the following morning, he was there with a wad of cash. There are decent people out there but there are a lot of time wasters too.
  12. Always good to have manuals readily accessible.

    C-120 refurb.

Looking very good. I like the exhaust stack too!
  14. Thanks for getting back to me on the location. The site is still selling wood burners and garden ornaments. It very nearly flooded last winter with all the heavy rain. The cricket pitch opposite was flooded and the cricket pavilion was also flooded. Anyways thanks for the info.
  15. Look a very tidy example Tom. Nice one!

    Bolens G14

Excellent outcome Iain. What ultrasonic cleaner did you use?
  17. I have not been this excited since I collected my ex girlfriend from a Anne Summers' Party back in the 80s. The anticipation was unbearable. All this teasing just got to stop!
  18. Dave, When the 600 arrive in the UK I will take some photos of it outside Buckingham Palace and the Houses Of Parliament for comparison. Might take one outside Waitrose too! All three will have Her Majestry formal approval! Cheers Andrew
  19. Looking forward to seeing the sales list and phots Alan. Well done to Nigel and Ian for helping you out with this mammoth task but rest assured they will go to good homes.
  20. The green 600 is being sold by Jack the Hat I believe. I was interested in it when it was listed a few weeks ago but the listing ended earlier. Anyway I got one now!
  21. Ditto above comments!
  22. Dave, thanks for collecting the 600 yesterday. It looks brilliant and the photos of the long horn cattle are wonderful. Thanks also to Iain and Neil for their help and sage advice in this covert operation. As Dave said it was nearby to him and unknown to me close to port too. As a additional bonus, Dave got contact with a local CC dealership who will let him have a crate free. Luckily Dave got a fork lift on his Bolens so that is another complication sorted. The only snag was the bank transfer. Last Saturday I organised the money to be sent. It didn't arrive until Tuesday evening UK time. So I learnt that it is not automatic and don't do it over the weekend. Thanks for the encouraging comments and yes MOM us a great forum hence my green supporter badge.
  23. Mark, that's a great looking CC. I think a bit of yellow will compliment my white collection
  24. Is that the garage just off Robertsbridge High St enroute to the station or the one on the A21 just before John's Cross? Just curious really as I am from that area originally.
