  1. I left the Toyota behind deliberately as I would have taken the red Bolens.........
  2. Alain, It is a 'round top' tiller with the extension bolted on. Here the photos of it. I have a lift handle from my other one I got earlier this year so I will use that as a template to fabricate one.

    C-120 refurb.

I think the tri ribs tyres on the front coupled with the agri tyres on the rear really set your WH off. Where did you get the tri ribs from?
  4. Today I finally collected the Bolens tiller and the FMC wheel weights from Alan in deepest Surrey a round trip of just over 400 miles. I met up with Chris, aka the Showman and John, the owner who was pleased that the tiller was off to a good home as he can't take it with him! Unfortunately I could only spare an hour and a half exploring the site and having a guided tour with Alan before rushing back to Devon. I only wished I had deeper pockets and the space to take more stuff back. The red Bolens was a beauty and it was good to see it in action transporting the tiller to my car. I was rather taken by the Cub Cadet there as well as Alan's Roper. The Morris Marinas were great to see but I did not have time to see the Ital van. The tiller and wheel weights are now under cover awaiting a through clean. My thanks to both Alan and Chris for thier warm welcome. It's pleasingto see Chris supporting and helping Alan (and John) out with the clearance of items and materials.
  5. I am not only envious of your tractors but also the amount of land you got as well. It's good to see the tractors working for their keep.
  6. That's a very nice simplicity Alain.
  7. In truth that is one of the reasons why I forgo the tiller. However, one day I will get one when I find a suitable tractor.
  8. I thought that was the case about the hydraulic lift on your LF. A nice looking tractor by the way.
  9. Hello Chris, no it was the one with the Bolens H16 with a 42" deck that was 10 miles up the road from me. It was this one.
  10. The flat back tiller is well heavy. Do you have a hydraulic lift on the bac to lower and raise it? I saw one a few months back for sale but I stupidly passed on it. It does a superb job by the look of it.
  11. Alain, like the both sets of wheel weights. Looking great.
  12. I like your mum's house; especially the third photo of the verandah. I hope you are going to paint it in Bolens 'White'!
  13. What a fabulous looking LF Bolens! I can only dream of finding one in that condition with all those attachments. A nice find. I would love to see a video of it in action.
  14. My copy arrived today as well. Good to see a mention in the magazine. It would be great to get some coverage of Rural Past Times with assorted garden tractors in action.
  15. Looking really inspirational Ian. Will you bringing it to Sedlescombe?

I like the rear agri tyres on your WH. They look the DB's!

    Plough.

Thanks Chris. Looking forward to meeting up with you all. I will be there on the Sunday.

    Plough.

I am looking forward to see your ploughs in action at RPT. I will be there as a visitor not as an exhibitor though as I have too much on. Hopefully will have something sorted out for next year......
  19. Unbelievable! If that was in the UK the condition of those GTs would be far worse I would think thanks to the ravaged of our climate.
  20. Iain, how much did you pay for your ultra sonic cleaner? Also where did you get it too? Thanks
  21. I hope the air horn doesn't produce any bum notes!
  22. That's a great find Chris. I will be interested in seeing photos of it in action when you are scarifying your lawn.
  23. Alain, It was that superb Bolens RAM with the front sickle bar on it. Cheers
  24. I got a shovel and a mattock....
