  1. Thanks Paul; no wonder I didn't recognised it as it's out of my price range!
  2. Good photos of the garden tractors and Mark's Bendy looks huge compared to the others. What's the green tractor in the second photo behind the Bolens RAM?
  3. Daniel, for a moment, when I read the heading plus seeing your name, I thought you were referring to my Bolens 1254, Cheers Andrew
  4. Excellent post Ian. What tyres have you got for your project?
  5. It is always good to hear that I am not alone! My wife always say the same thing about my collection of old jalopies but at least my lawn is mowed weekly....... Looking forward to see your breakdown and photos on the Bolens stash tomorrow. Good luck!
  6. That's a nice line up there and good weather too.
  7. That's a fantastic deal you got Alain. So how many wheel weights have you hot now?
  8. Looking good. Have a great weekend.
  9. Iain, I do like that green RAM; that look really solid. It look like you got the mid.and late production RAMs from that haul. Nice one ! Be interested I seeing more photos of that 1254 to compare mine. The wheel Horses look to be tidy too. An all round good haul for all I think.
  10. Great photos Alan. I can now see why it took so long to load up.
  11. I would guess that your RAM would head butt any of those Horses if they misbehaved Iain!
  12. Ian, looking very good indeed. What's the next job to do on your list?
  13. thanks for the update Alan and I am chuffed that the Bolens will live for another day thanks to Chris and Iain's dedication to the Bolens Cause! They have gone to very good homes. The Morris Marina is a car that bring back memories.......
  14. Don't tempt me! I got too much on at the moment! A nice machine for someone with talent (you!). Cheers
  15. Nigel, as you know these are very collectable and with those attachments and wheel weights, I would guess around £450 in that condition, perhaps a tad higher? There was one for sale last year locally with the tiller and wheel weights and was in full working order and I recall that went for over £700. Let us know if you get it. Cheers

    My Wheelhorse

Very nice RJ you got there.
  17. Alain, I have PM you. Cheers
  18. Nigel's smile quickly disappeared! Hope it is sorted quickly.
  19. I agree. I got one on my caravan in Dorset plus two wheel locks too.
  20. Alain, Thanks for the above info. Here's something else from my post to add to the growing information being gathered. Here's a link from boyscout862 from a '64 farm catalogue showing the Simplicicity and Bolens models. Also a couple of walk behind mowers are included. A great period brochure too. http://gardentractortalk.com/forums/files/file/4273-mongomery-wards-1964-farm-catalog/ I know that Gilson produced MWs tractors too. I think Simplicity and Gilson became the main suppliers in the 60s. The one common thread that everyone agrees is that there's very little information about pertaining to MW products. MW brochures and literature are very thin in the ground. It would be great to have some definitive documentation on this brand which is new to me. Here's a add for Gilson from that era
  21. Alain,I think you could very well be right.
  22. Alain, I am going to post a post on GTTalk to ask for photos of Bolens produced MW to see 'actual' survivors. hopefully someone somewhere might have one to share photos with everyone.
  23. These are very good machines. I used one when I worked for the National Trust. The finishing was excellent but mind you we had good quality turf to cut. Good to find one in that condition.
  24. Alain, great advert. Be interesting to know how many are still around.
