Rob, there appear to be quite a few Bolens for sale around the North from time to time; so you are in a prime spot to get 'em.
Keep our posted with your project.
Cheers

What a fabulous trio.
You could have cut the grass though.....
-
One for your hit list Ian.
-
Ian, I though you got a D one?
-
George, to my untutored eye, all the ploughing look damn good. You lads with your horticultural tractors are setting the standards on ploughing.
-
I think the one from Bristol had the Husky dog logo on the front, yellow wheels, a slick 50 sticker and a metal seat. I think I vaguely recall seeing this one on the bay a few months ago.
-
Was that the one from Bristol Chris?
-
I drove it around Ian's garden last summer; great fun.
Maybe someone on here wil buy it?
-
If yours is an 850 tube frame then it was made between 1966 to 69 powered by an Wisconsin 8 1/4 HP engine (S- 8D) as shown in your photos. It had a high/low range lever and diff lock with 3 gears.

Welcome Rob from another Bolens owner.
Be good if you post your Bolens photos in your thread.
There are a few Bolens owners on here with more knowledge and experience than me and they will appear in due course. The solidity of these little tractors are unbelievable. Enjoy your first Bolens as you will probably buy another one in due course!
What parts do you need?
Cheers
Andrew

Don't mess with The Showman otherwise you might wake up with a Å´heel Horse Å´heel on your bed....

I am having a quick cuppa in between working on the Bolens 800. At last I got around to fitting the anmeter gauge this morning as well as greasing up all the nipples. Battery gone flat though..... Got the battery on a trickle charger so hope that will cure that little problem. Everything seem to be ok as everything moves freely and the gears engages where they should. I am now going to order some belts for this as the old ones are a wee bit frayed.
Also taken some better photos too.
-
Type in Westwood gazelle on eBay and it should come up hopefully.
-
Yes, I have just been looking at one on that infamous auction site but it's up in Stoke on Trent. It look very solid.
Here's a photo of it.
-
I can well belive that. More often than not these machines, whatever make they are, are abused. A few a looked after by prudent and careful owners.
What age are yours WestwoodGazelle?
I live in Kingsteignton.
-
If I did get one, I would like one like yours with the square metal hood etc and guess I would be looking at one from the 70s which would compliment my Bolens too.
-
Thanks.
Well, maybe I ought to get a West Wood myself the as I live in Devon. What's the best model to get?
-
Am I right in thinking that Westwood were made in Plymouth, Devon?
-
That sounds like you are speaking from experience Iain!
Yeah, it's called white noise!
-
it seems that most of us blokes here are in for the high jump over the next couple of months when our hidden purchases are uncovered by our respective bosses! Oh heck!
-
That lathe look the business Iain. What make and model is that one then?
-
21 Chris! and my wife complains about the 4 I got!
-
Another WH to your collection; how many have you now?
-
That's a nice looking Westwood you got there. Also welcome to MOM.
