  1. Tom, a great find. Good luck with your search for the missing parts.
  2. Andrew, I think you need a Wheelhorse for your collection, if you need to sell your Bolens to fund it I am sure I could help Iain, I can counteract you generous offer by saying if you need to appease your wife with reducing your collection I can assist by buying several of your Bolens and the Cub Cadet !
  3. Chris I trust you have checked your garage to see if it's still there......... You know what these blokes are like from Norfolk!
  4. Daniel, Don't you start on my adding to my collecting habit; I am in enough trouble as it is! In any case, my next one is a Cub Cadet (thanks Chris) or a Gutbrod or Bolens 600 or a very early Å´heel Horse but only when I have got the other two Safely home. I think you will be smitten by the Bolens bug once you have worked your magic on the 1254.... Cheers
  5. I would let him sweat it out a bit to see if his greed is cured!
  6. I made the same steering mistake on a hydroplane I was racing many years ago. First race I went to leave the pits on full throttle and the boat headed straight towards a jetty instead of the pit exit. The jetty cleared of people quickly and despite my assurance that it would be fine and that I would just steer the opposite way, I was banned from the event. That made me cracked up about you offering to steer the other way! Very funny!
  7. Hello Dan, Hopefully someone on here can tell you how to upload photos but essentially you click the box on the bottom right titled more reply options. Then scroll down to Attach Files and click on choose file. Hopefully you will see your photos. Click on the photo you want and click attach this file. If it doesn't work contact one of the mods (highlighted in red) and they will help you.
  8. I think someone on this forum got a Westwood Lawnbug. I think it is somewhere in the South East.Type in Lawnbug in search top right box on the forum and it should pop up.

    C-120 refurb.

    Looking good Norman.
  10. Tidy looking workshop there and I notice you have created space for your next garden tractor.......
  11. Chris I believe you got the last LF in Ireland as well ! Anyway, we now know where the UK's supply of Bolens LF are.........
  12. I believe that there are a few more small frames Bolens around the UK due to the size of our smaller properties compared to our American counterparts. The LF Bolens here are difficult to find.
  13. No, not yet as I just have not got the time to have a look at it due to work commitments. It's about 25 miles away from me. Not exactly far but by the time I get home bla bla bla it's too late to sort it out.
  14. There's a guy on EBay breaking a Bolens ride on mower which I think is a 2133. He's down Wiltshire way. As for the 613, you will have to bide your time if you want any parts here in the UK. It might be an idea to get another one to use as a donor vehicle. Otherwise, buy what you need from the States but do a job lot to save on shipping costs...... Your 613 is certainly worth spending a bit of TLC on it.
  15. That's excellent Charlie. You can't go wrong there. I just bought a new grease gun for £12 with 3 new grease cartridges.
  16. Nigel, Better if you take us all BACK FROM the beer tent! That when we will need a lift! Andrew
  17. That's a pity; I was looking forward to have my Bolens fix! There are people like that everywhere I am afraid.

    Brinly plough

There's a Brinly Plow on the bay........Starting bid is £150.
  19. Google Owatrol online and their website will pop up. George aka the Fife Plooman gave me a discount code. I see if I can find it for you guys. I just find it; here it is below. EBIRD25 Is the discount code. It's 25% discount but whether it's still valid I don't know. It's worth a try anyway.
  20. Charlie, Have a look at my Bolens tiller post for before and after. Andrew
  21. Some lovely looking vintage farm tractors there. Also great to see Shire Horses at work; a great sight to behold.
  22. Thanks Tom, I would use that Owatrol stuff on it to preserve it's patina. Barfords look like an interesting alternative too. By the way have you bought the Owatrol yet?
  23. Charlie, I agree, It's a little bit unusual to a Allen scythe. It does look solid and I love its patina too. I know nothing about these so that will be an interesting voyage of discovery. Be good to get some more views on this one.
  24. Chris, yes please to your Cub Cadet! I don't think Tom's deck would fit it though.......
  25. Yes it's the one on that auction site. I am tempted and I would like to buy it for a similar price to yours! It's the sickle bar that got my attention.
