  1. The bit on the end of a normal MG2 exhaust which flanges out is called a fish tail, 137 has a straight pipe though.
  2. Looks great, on to the next ones! Month and a half to go!
  3. Would be interesting to see if 137 will run reliably with a wico mag put enevrything else out of the picture if not already?
  4. think it's time to build a blade for the MG6.
  5. Thought you would have had more, ours started Thursday night and was still going at 7 on Friday, ended up with about 3" locally but as soon as i left the town there didn't seem to be any!
  6. I had a crawler that run well once and fired but couldn't get it to run agian, condenser looked new so didn't touch it. After testing for spark under compression and removed the mag I found that the condenser casing was fitted but it was empty! Fitted a condenser and off it went, proved engines do run without them intermittently although that was a wico magneto.
  7. We will all have to get together, introduce ourselfs in person that is who has not already met.
  8. What's the red item with the pinstriping? An open crank stationary engine?
  9. Well it's raining, snow never lasted long!
  10. We had a hard frost this morning -0.5. Then warmed up and started showing 12.30. Building site I'm roughing at the moment is like the Somme, nightmare carrying reels of cable and gear to the houses.
  11. It'll go just as quick as it came....
  12. Well Norm you hit that on the head....ðŸ¤
  13. We've had a bit of snow, unfortunately I was at work when it started and many cars were been stuck, but the snow is no match for the Amarok!
  14. You'll be hoping the other two engines for the skimmer and ITW don't give you as much trouble!
  15. I'll be there with my I.T.W all going well
  16. It's bound to go with the timing corrected and some fuel down the inlet. To eliminate the chance of weak mixture try to wrap an oily rag around the top of the carburettor to stop any air entering this way.
  17. If you can't feel any suction then it won't pull fuel in, my MG2 pulls your hand in like a Hoover, Jonathan will know what's he's doing though, he's dealt with a few more than me.
  18. Excuses Norm, you just want to go for another look! Jonathan, I'm sure you'll get it going When mine hasn't ran for a while and won't start I disconnect the air filter and put my hand over inlet when turning it over to make it pull fuel in to make it fire, I also had to do that the first time I started it.
  19. Did 137 never have a fish tail exhaust?
