yeah its a great wood, its got mainly redwoods and oaks, elms, cherry, the wind couple of weeks ago took a lot of the young cherry trees out of the ground and up rooted a oak! not happy, got the valtra working hard and had ago in a mates valtra valmet harvester, that was fun!
-
yeah well its very handy, when I cant get the tractors in a certain spot, its surprising what size truck it can drag! ive done a lot of cutting in the woods last couple of weeks and its been a super help.
-
it will be having a set of AG tyres on it soon
-
Hi all, this is what my wheel horse goes through on a regular bases. it works to it limits in the woods, for moving wood of big and small sizes and for jobs in small areas that the big tractors cant get to.
-
the colour scheme looks great!
are you going to put AG tyres on it?
-
how would you ship it?

hi all, as you know I got a FE35 Ferguson, but at the sametime I couldn't resist the Westwood!
it was used as a bowling green first cut mower, it cam with spare belts and all the attachments. its a great runner with a new re-built gearbox, I also took the original gearbox as a spare for parts. the engine isn't the original, it looks like a 16HP Briggs but im not sure haven't had time to really look at it, so will have a better look soon!
This is it loaded up on the trailer, as soon as I got it up there it ran out of petrol!

Ive been putting multiple different things down the bores, ive cleaned the liners in two of the four bores, they were covered in rust , the next idea which I will do tomorrow is heating up the oil in a pan and pouring it in, thanks to wristpins comment , I had never thought of it!
Regards Joe
I need all the ideas, I can think of!
that would be quit a collection!
-
ill certainly try it! just soaked them with coke, apparently it works! anyway i'm making a contraption to put over the cylinders to push the two down forcing the other two come up slowly, hopefully doing it every carefully it will free the rings on the cylinder from the liners, Ive done it before on a 3 cylinder perkins engine that was seized and it worked, so hopefully it will again!
Regards Joe
does anyone else on the forum own a FE35 or a TO35?
-
that looks like a tidy machine, good luck with the starter testing.
Regards Joe
-
haha, the TO35 is the same as the FE35 accept it was produced in the USA, it started production a year after the UK started producing the FE35 in 1956, I think!
Regards Joe
I clean the liners in 2 of the barrels today, they were covered In surface rust. lots of work to be done in the next few mouths to get it going! the engine at the moment is sieved, but will hopefully be freed up soon
