Nice job Chris, I think you were fighting physics in this situation, your leverage position. I get my exercise chopping wood and digging in the garden with my shovel, my machines all have either electric or hydraulic lift. I'm glad because with my eyesight I don't think I could handle another handle.

Great job in less than optimal conditions !! Even though the soils seemed a little wet your setup performed perfectly.
-
Andrew, the Bolens mulching mower has been around since the early 1960s, I think you would find it a very capable machine.
-
Those were great old push mowers, very well engineeered.

Please DO NOT take advice from this guy. That said, many of us have done these things, and many more will do them.

I'm not sure how long they produced the K91T(retractable starter), but that's a fairly late model being manufactured in 1981.

Well getting that spark properly back on the point is determined by timing, bazinga.

Maybe cyan, like the old IH implements, but a good job none-the-less.

The point is that it shows creativity and imagination in replying to a very electric topic. Feel free to hit on all cylinders.

Sorry mates, I couldn't resistor.

Yes sir Anglo, that was the plug that is in all my K341 engines, including the one that was in the head I sent Joe, and the plug recommended by Kohler

I know you've been through alot lately Dave, but just wanted to say how much your help is appreciated in the GT world. Your knowledge and willingness to help others is a gift. Have a Wonderful Birthday and buy your self a nice Bolens or Bolens implement. Alain

I can change blades or sharpen on the mower with this setup

It's what I call the full belly wash, lol
