    Wheelhorse d200

Welcome Harry, good to hear from another D series owner.
  2. I'll have to change my profile picture to reflect the patch now on the other eye. I've had to have another surgery on the eye, The "good" eye was not that good and I do not see well with it without using the page enlarging glass. Right now I see double and foggy, School work has been difficult, as is typing or reading. I had a stack of limbs and branches in the back field about 3 meters high by 6 meters wide/deep that I went to set afire Sunday. I grabbed the wrong can and doused it with 2 gallons of Gasoline, not Kerosene, When I lit it it blew up. Many small splinters embedded into my arms, burns to my arms and forehead, hair mostly gone, rough week. My wife is typing most things for me as they cant get me back into the eye doctor until November 13th. Still waiting to be scheduled for colonoscopy from the Veterans Administration to check to make sure cancer is not back, that test was due the end of June, still no word on a date. I got another Wheel Horse D160 kohler single cylinder, I might have posted its loading and unloading, well I got a nice 56 inch blade and 48 inch deck for them last week. and installed the blade. The plan is to buy another 3 point and 8 new tires for both tractors, one set of Turf tires and one set of AG tires, that will set me back about 1000.00 by the time I buy one set of 4 bolt hubs and a set of 10 inch rims for the AG tractor. I've installed the 48 inch deck on the Allis Chalmers 416 Shuttle and have completed one complete mowing cycle with it. It is VERY strange to have a 4 speed hydro. I still need to adjust the belts a little as reverse is not set to good standard, cuts great though and handles great with Carlisle All-Trails and 18x6.50-8 up front. BTW, those 50lb rear Allis wheel weights were only made for the Allis 400 series and I have never seen another set.
  3. The cupola is decorative, builders can and do build houses like this, as long as you are paying.
  4. Please do post more pictures when you can!

    Old Faithfull.

Too bad you did not spend the extra money for the self-loading blocks
  6. And 175 miles in between
  7. Nice to see a bit of color in a sea of red
  8. The mortar on the brick is sluffed out, no real way to brush or roll, it would destroy a brush and/or roller in a square yard. I inadvertently rubbed up against it and it quickly removed some skin. I did brush and roll all the wood with two coats of Alkyd primer, and sprayed the finish with two coats of 100 percent acrylic satin enamel using a Graco airless sprayer
  9. I will get pictures of the D160 in the back, I hope

  11. The low ballers and ball scrapers came out in droves to beat me up on the sale of my 1995 Volvo GLT, Oklahoma is not a good place to sell a car, the local denizens think more of goats and mules, than fine autos. It needed some work on the valves so I took a beating from the nicest people that inquired. Then I made a 300 mile round trip voyage to pick up a 1996 Dodge B2500 SLT Van. It set me back 1400 scalps, but I got nearly half that for the Volvo. It was actually quite nice, 318 automatic one large rear door, cold air, great tires, electric windows, door locks, and mirrors. It needs a heater core and an antenna. After measuring the back door and inside dimensions I have room to slip a Wheel Horse D160 in it that happens to be sitting up at my Mom's house. I also have my 40th High School class reunion Saturday night, so I will be up there for that as well. I will be putting shut off valves on the heater core in the morning and ordering a class 4 tow package from ebay.
  12. Finished house, Painted the whole thing with one eye
  13. Same thing with old houses, most were as crooked as a dog's hind leg, they used innovative techniques to hide the lack of quality cuts and improper tools
  14. my, my and we don't think they make good mowers today
  15. Really Nigel, it wasn't me, It was always the other guys who started it, Thanks, I have my 40 th High School reunion to go to Saturday and if I am still without the use of one eye I think it will prevent me putting put up a good fight, I still think I can hold my own with most of the guys and girls, lol
  16. The biggest issue is no work or school for 6 days. I have to lay on my stomach or right side most of the day and night.
  17. Kind of embarrassing, but before i stopped drinking I had quite a few brawls, apparently blows to the eye/temple area seem to be a contributing factor, at least that is what my doctor surmised. I woke up this weekend and there was a dark curtain over one eye. I had emergency surgery to save my eyesight on Monday morning
  18. This time the right eye, retina nearly fully detached. Surgery went as well as could be expected, next week we see how successful it was. I may need to change my profile picture to reflect a change of patch position
  19. This site has pictures, drawings, and manuals of probably everything you blokes ever built or built to build things. http://www.lathes.co.uk/
  20. Could have powered a lathe or other machinery of the day
  21. Use your mouse or arrow buttons to see 360 degrees around the P-51 Mustang and see the F-22 Raptor off its wing tip
  22. Nope your not old, the quad is old, it may qualify for antique tags.
