  1. As Chris said Norm. Very bright. Had to put my sunglasses on.
  2. Good photo's and a nice selection of machinery Paul. But WHAT is Norm trying to do in photo 10. ? Also, photo 32 should come with a health warning.
  3. Can't remember how long ago I last visited. I expect there have been lots of changes since. Did Pam have a good rest in the netty ( toilet to you posh people ) Chris. ?
  4. Lots of useful stuff there Richard. I'm still gradually sorting John's machine tools which he passed on to me. Made use of a lot of them already.
  5. I wonder who that could be ? Norm, we need a clue.
  6. Are you growing a beard Norm, or has your hair just slipped.
  7. Looks good Ewan. Like the green test area too.
  8. Just checked. Looks like you are correct Chris.
  9. A nice assortment as usual Paul. Like the Vauxhall Victor and the Lawn Bug. I had a Victor FB estate years ago. Simple to work on, not like now.
  10. Looks good Chris. Don't recognize the bench though. New build, or just uncluttered since my visit. Have you found the Myford serial number yet. ?
  11. After a lot of head scratching and taking a very rough guess, I would definitely say YES.
  12. Thanks Alain. Anything like that makes me dribble. All boot and bonnet, or trunk and hood over the pond. A little bit on the thirsty side though. You will have noticed how spotless the engine bay is too Paul.
  13. Thought the Lomax would be a bit too modern for you Norm. Very nice though.
  14. No Chris. Didn't see everything but think a Marina would have stuck out like a sore thumb.
  15. Looks a nice location Paul. And a bit more shade than at Popham Airfield.
  16. Like it lots. Very smart. The occupants look well pleased.
  17. A very hot day at Popham yesterday. Lots of visitors. Long queue to get in although it moved quickly. As the title says, lots of cars of all descriptions, plus aero - auto jumble. The previous two days were mainly a Microlight fly in and trade fair. Lots of visitors coming and going by air on all three days. A selection of photo's as we all know you like photo's. A nice Mini and matching trailer. Note the kettle Mr Showman. My son and his wife wondering if this truck would fit in their drive. A little smaller. A nice model bicycle. Compare the size against the hacksaw blades. A pair of flying machines. And finally, the highlight of the day for us. My grand daughter went to console a nearby crying boy. Both about the same age. Almost instantly they both wandered off, holding hands, in the direction of a parked plane. Both sets of mummy's and daddy's following. It turned out that Theo wanted to show Kamila HIS plane. His dad had flown into Popham for the day. Kamila and her new boy friend had lots of fun flying it while photo's were taken. Theo's daddy didn't seem bothered that buttons were pressed, levers pulled or pushed, switches switched, and the control columns yanked about. He probably had to do a major reboot before taking off.
  18. After delays over the last few weeks for various reasons, I finally managed to pay a long awaited visit to the famous wood sheds on the South Coast. After being diverted by road works not far from home I had more delay as my sat nav decided to send me on a scenic tour of Brighton. Never seen so many traffic lights, all changing to red as I approached, plus numerous pedestrian crossings, all occupied of coarse. After lots of and grinding of teeth, I knew I must be near my destination as I could hear the whistling of a kettle not too far off. When turning into Wood Shed Avenue the headlights of a big RED van suddenly lit up in excitement at seeing me again. I knew then that I had arrived. Chris, who had been twiddling his thumbs waiting for me, rushed out all smiles. After a few unimportant greeting words came the expected, "Wanta Cuppa". How could I say no. After a chin wag over the drink I was given a guided tour of the famous and much talked about wood sheds. WOW. I never imagined so much wood was needed to hide a few RED painted bits of metal. Chris told me that he had to constantly re stock the sheds with wood as Pam kept burning it, and if the level dropped below 69.5 % there was a risk of her seeing RED. He started trembling as he told me this and quickly moved on to his workshop where I managed to be shown around without banging my shins or tripping over things. I think he must have been tidying up. I had a good look around and spotted lots of things I had seen before somewhere. But NOT on the South Coast. After Chris welded some parts for me, part of the reason for my visit, it was time to take to the road again. I had to leave early as my son needed MY car which I had borrowed from him for the day. After being given directions to avoid Brighton, off I went. I thought I would avoid the road work diversions near home by heading through Guildford which I knew would be busy. It was with stops and starts but not as many traffic lights etc as Brighton. So, thanks to Chris and Pam for the cuppa's, biscuits and chit chat etc and hope I don't have to rush off next time.
  19. Looks good. Plenty of room to play.
  20. Saw looks a bit lot different now Norm. Hope any worms living in the handles don't find it too cold up there. Like the pots too. Another I think Chris will agree with me when I say " No wonder you're POTTY".
  21. Good find Chris. I expect you will be paying regular visits there now to see what other goodie's end up on the pile.
  22. Two interesting places Norm. The tractor collection will keep someone busy with a duster.
  23. Well !! We need to know what it is. And where are the photo's. ? Come on, why the delay. Too busy with the kettle I suppose.
