Sold today.
Going to sit in a barn for a little while. The 8hp is going to be the chaps grandchildrens for a toy and 11hp going for racing.
Guess it's the way it goes, he paid the money so he can do as he wishes
Good day all in all
Trailer in unbraked. I can only tow unbaked upto 750kg.
The trailer bed is 5x8 with an extra foot at the front.
Chap I got it off said he had owned it for 10 years. Older chap near Oxford.
He has used it for alsorts, transporting light air craft parts e.t.c
I think it was either originally made or was just used for a long time as a racing hover craft trailer.
Appeared to handle the weight off the westwoods all the way home
No badges on it e.t.c but it definately isn't a home built jobby. Under the ply floor that the previous owner put on its a full mesh floor same as the loading ramp

Iv got to give them a wash and charge the batterys, get them running and weigh up the options.
I don't have a use for them really although I do quite like the one without the lights!
Did try giving one to my brother to potter about on at shows but he didn't seem fussed
So the new car trailer finally arrived around 6pm today (been waiting for it since sunday) and we set off at 7 on a 180 mile or so round trip to pick up these 2 westwoods and trailer.
Bit nerve racking as we didn't even check the trailer over... but towed like a dream!
The westwoods couldn't have fitted any better wedged right up to the sides!
Only bought the stash for the trailer to go behind the horwool so the westwoods will be up for grabs! Probably some mower racing friends will jump on them I expect...
Good evening all round!
Have always been my favourite classic car.
Sold the saloon to a friend local, and is now being used as a daily driver. I was going to put it into storage for a few years and tart it up a bit but decided just to concentrate on the estate...
Plus the small fact the wife wanted a ride on!
Can't have it all unfortunately but there we go
Matt
Both mk5
Saloon is a 1600 crusader fitted with a 2l pinto. Standard box.
Estate is a 1600l fitted with 2l pinto and 5 speed box and lowed 1" all round on gaz shocks
I have just sold the saloon about 2 weeks ago, but at the time I originally started this thread before I became a paid up member I still owned it
Has anyone road registered there ride on?
I was thinking about looking into road registering the horwool. It's quite a big ride on so would have good presence. Only for local trips.
What I want to know is how hard is it? Currently being restored to be a mini tractor so can build it back upto road spec... I also have no paper work or anything but I have engine and chassis number
Cheers
Red cortina saloon is mine. Also the estate that was near buy!
Missed the yellow and while mini tractor... would have liked to have seen it as that's the colour scheme were going for on the horwool
This is true!
Found this bit off info on the kohler engine.... if it's the correct engine of the tractor the serial number starts with a 3 which would make it 1972.. if it is that old I would be well happy!
