  1. Good to meet you too Paul, always good to put a face to a name.

And the collection there is very good, all local machines too I recall, British machines at that, so nice to see them, especially as you'd got them out for me to see.

    A pleasure indeed!

  2. You sure know how to upset a Norvenor  Chris!!

Hooligan, nah, that was the CCM I just sold, this XJR just passes anything in sight... if I wanted to of course.

But yes, sadly I can only look, listen  & test ride, Harley Davidson has been a llifetimes ambition... BUT!! I'm still young yet ain't I ??

We could discuss weekly terms for yours Chris.....

But yes, this is the second XJR I've had, and it really is a blast.. the R1 boys think we are nuts sitting up at 130mph! ( 130, did I just write that?? ) yes, at 140+ it get's a bit uncomfortable.... I believe.

  4. Folks,

I have had a severe ear bending from The Showman!! and rightfully so, I apologise for not sending my replies of thanks to all that have wished me another year older, as young as I am that is, so..

THANK YOU all that wished me birthday wishes!!

Somehow with all the moving & disturbance of moving house/works has kept me so busy with my work and with hammers, nails ( I mean dovetails) , shovels and timber purchasing, that I haven't really had a lot of time to get to here.. again I apologise. I do look in a fair bit, just to keep myself updated, but I shall concentrate & contribute a bit more from now on.. I have been told by that by my good friend The Showman.

    Thank All again,

These past few weekends have just taken all of my time, I dare not add the hours up, let's just say.. lots of 'em! Then the electrics & water supply.. then the bed hopefully!!!

  6. Hi Paul,

somehow I just don't seem to get the time to get to the forums recently, house move/shed builds/setting up work etc just seems to swallow every second of every day...

But yes indeed, a fine result with the President, truly nice!!

  7. I'm simply at a loss for words Neil, I so, so sympathise with you all down there, when it was a situation that could have been dealt with to prevent this years ago... no doubt now of course, action will be taken asap.

Hope you can all be as safe as possible,

  8. Neil,

I dread to think what it must be like for you & family, we have elongated floods along either end of our lane, and an enormous pool across our lawns spreading towards the house, but it is NOTHING in comparison to your circumstances.

Your quote from the Telegraph paper is nationally accurate, we have had the same troubles for 25 years+ relating to ditch cleaning.. and they all literally 'connect'  Ditch - Stream - River - Sea.

Dredging from the sea inland is the only way to release this water, and in your case at below sea level, there should be the runaways purposely built as well as the ditches to take that water away.

There's a certain Led Zeppelin track here that we can relate to I'm sure.......... but we don't want it to happen...

Neil, here's to hoping you & surrounding folk and landowners with livestock can ride this out, safely...
