I didn't get chance to post this when I typed earlier. Dinner interrupted. Engine runs the wrong way as Matt has said. It'll be like an Italian tank in WW11.
Engine pulley runs anti-clockwise so you'll be going backwards?
Correct Matt but it’s going to be a bastard to sort 👍🏻
I’ve put the engine on backwards so it won’t go anywhere forward but bloody quick backwards, but now if I turn the engine round I will have to run the belt and chain drive on the other side, it sounds easier than what it’s going to be to convert
Well ime suffering from this isolation lark and I think it’s driven me mad,I’ve made the biggest bulls up on this project you could make, take a look through the photos and see if you can spot it
I would of done titch, but this is all I’ve got kicking about at the moment, ime a bit pissed off because just before this lockdownStarted , I cleared the workshop of lots of old stuff that would of come in very handy now
A scrap book of cuttings and adverts was acquired from the son of a former Tarpen employee many years ago
In it is this article from Farm Implement and Machinery News 1967
In the text it mentions the machines were developed by Edward Bals and quotes "The new sprayers, to be marketed in Great Britain by the Tarpen Engineering co Ltd, 7 Coronation Road London"
Now they are nice, I take it your neighbor has a lot of experiance with glass fibre, I’ve done a bit myself but never managed to get a finish like that 👍🏻
Found this old chassis from a greenfield that I had stuck on the scrap heap, so tomorrow out come the cutting discs, ime sure I can make something out of this
