Looks like a 1960/61 suburban , wrong bonnet and front axle for an RJ

Fitted a few more bits on, after fitting the chain and aligning the sprockets I found the bracket to hold the chain guard on missing and as it's now painted I didn't want to weld something on so I just made one and bolted it on.
I don't really want to do much more now until I get it off the bench and fitted to a tractor as its quite heavy.

I had it on here in the " for sale " section for 6 months with very little interest

I've just sold a snow plough all complete and working with the axle bracket for £175 and gave the chap a full length frame.

The paint has dried enough to get a few more bits bolted on, the driveshaft and chain sprocket with the new bearings fitted.
i can now fit the new chain and align the other sprockets, hope to get the mounting bracket and drive belt pulleys on today

Today's plans went out the window so I spent some time in the shed, now I've got a load of red bits hanging up.

Didn't get as much done as I hoped today.
First job was to cut down the mounting bracket and clean up then I noticed the chute aim adjuster was missing so more fabricating needed.
By the time I finished that it was too late to paint as the temperature was dropping.

There seems to be a difference on length on the mounting bracket between the bolt on and the quick hitch of 4 inches so I had to mod the bracket, luckily it's shorter and I hadn't painted it.
I drilled a couple of more holes and welded another 5/8" bar on, I will cut off the excess tomorrow.

Got some more done and the first thing to do was change the fixing bracket, as the blower is pre 1973 it had a long 3/8" nut and bolt to bolt it to the frame of the tractor.
I drilled out the hole to 5/8" and used a solid bar so that I can use the quick hitch, also cleaned and primered a few more parts.
The parts box is almost empty but I'm missing a rod that fits on the chute to adjust the aim so that will be the next job.

Got home earlier than expected so I've finished the pulley,
The old hub is now welded on and the hub on the other side machined of on the lathe.
Considering what I've done it runs quite true in the lathe so I'm pleased with that.

Looking at that pulley Alan it would have fitted straight on

I managed to get an hour on the pulley before a member of the family wanted a bed moved, .
First time I've used the Myford so quite pleased with what I've done.
I put a 3/4 shaft through the old pulley to align it in the chuck and machined the hub off. I'm going to do the same with the new pulley to get the hub off then bolt and weld together.

Next job is a rusty drive pulley, I've managed to find another but the centre needs changing.

Fitted the new bearings and cleaned out the axle tube, greased the axle shaft and put some oil in the tube just enough to coat the bear metal bits for protection then assembled it.
The auger runs nice on new bearings.

Had a look at the flag this morning ( that's the bit that fits to the lift arm ) I had to replace the pin as its a bit rusty.
