the showman got a reaction from nigel in Titivateing in readyness for Biddenden
Had a few hours out in the sunshine today, so I thought I would strip the Trachorse dozer blade down and give it a clean up.

the showman got a reaction from nigel in Ardingly, a few photos
The first is of the public walking round, then some old stuff on a stall, then an engine that took my fancy a 1950 Mclean generator set and lastly a couple of old motors, the 1939 Ford pickup looked like brand new and the Buick was nice

the showman reacted to meadowfield in Remote diff locker - build video
I did the final assembly on my latest distraction this morning. To say I'm pleased with myself is an understatement
After not a lot of planning, but a lot of thinking, putting together and taking apart. I managed to modify a wheel horse 8 pinion differential into a remote locking diff. This will be the rear transmission on my next 4WD project.
Video was done this morning - I got distracted at lunchtime by my other hobby, making synthesisers and music... The music on the youtube vid is just one take of me noodling and driving the missus mad.

Pam was out doing a bit of gardening today and I went over to make sure she didn't get eaten by a triffid (wishful thinking ) and look what I found
I remember the spade thingy, we use to see if anyone could use it when we came in from the pub, I always fell over with it

the showman got a reaction from ranger in Building a Wheelhorse From Scratch
I'am not to sure to use a rear fender and like the look of the fender kit used on the RJ's which I bought on one of my trips to the Wheelhorse show in PA. a bit of bodywork looks very useable, pick a gas tank, and cut the upstand the last photo of the front axle parts but you'll have to wait until tomorrow for the answer

next on the list is front wheels, I want to use early narrow one's and the early narrow rear's as well. the engine iam going to use is an 8 hp kohler with electric start. using a 8 speed tranny the 8 hp will be plenty. next the bonnet and for looks I went for the charger 12. the dash stands that I have are a bit rusty so I bent up a new one

the showman got a reaction from nigel in Ardingly Smallholders Show
John Bedford (Mr SEVAC) came over to me this afternoon and said that our display was the best that he had seen at the Smallholders Show. !!!.
Just goes to show that between us with the equipment we all have and exhibit, we get noticed and have a right laugh doing it.
Isnt that the reason we do it.
Big cheer for Paul & Wendy and all the other exhibitors for a great weekend. Well done everyone

the showman reacted to diggerjames in Commando 800 scarifying
Hi all whilst doing my topping with my John Deere 2520 I've also had my right hand man on our trusty old commando 800 which we recently got from Dibnah or Tom as you may no him by . So we decided to put our scarifier on her which she did a great job . I did how ever have to put some weigh on the implement ie a mini digger bucket to stop her bouncing about !
