Wristpin 400 #1 Posted September 4, 2018 I need to "unbash" this grass box a bit - not to showroom standard with lots of filler etc but just a bit more respectable. Although I grew up with a spanner in hand, I've always avoided tin bashing so before I set about it with a block of wood and a lump hammer - any tips? nigel 1,876 #2 Posted September 4, 2018 Yep bring it over to Ian Angus he’s pretty good at shrinking and stretching metal . And if that’s you that made them dents I suggest you pay a visit to spec savers. 😂 1 Anglo Traction reacted to this
Wristpin 400 #3 Posted September 4, 2018 Thanks, I'll take you up on that. Not the guilty party! Done all the mechanics including honing the bore and re-ringing, re-grinding the cylinder and bottom blade and repairs to the cowling and recoil. 1 HeadExam reacted to this

Anglo Traction 1,016 #5 Posted September 4, 2018 Both ends of my Wheel Horses looked like that Grassbox when I got them. Nightmare to tap them all out and get straight. That looks a challenge too.
Sammoore13bolens1053 11 #6 Posted September 4, 2018 I have one of them. One the same, exact same I can’t remebre the engine. I have one that’s a ransomed from about 1950 something. A bsa powered one, a jap engine one and one the same as that
