  3. I've the same 1953 myford ML7 lathe as Richard, only with 3 phase and an inverter. I'm untidy though, so it's a mess

  7. Neil, Not good at all, despite the rain up north, we still haven't seen the rivers burst their banks yet. I guess we are still filling reservoirs here! Here's hoping the rain stops soon for you down there, it looks like they are now trying to sort things out there. All a little too late for you guys though, typical government... Send some rain up here

  9. hehe black jacks/spangles walking 3 miles to school in all weathers Lifts to school in the back on a van or trailer - or milk float unrestrained riding on the wheel arch of my dads JCB bob a job (scouts) doing 2 paper rounds to have money to buy things progging - collecting wood to build massive bonfires watching The A team, Fall guy or Dukes of Hazzard on a saturday night Being forced to watch Dynasty or the Colbys an hour later British Leyland cars...
  10. It was good fun, and very productive for mowing. You never cut the same bit twice with one! At one point I could also mow with the twins sitting either side of me it was a big seat.
  11. The roof has felt shingles, for some reason I only took about two pictures.... It was also dark when I did it - was determined to get it weatherproof Sunday night. Pics to follow this week.

  13. Here's my Dixon, owned it for 18 years. Imported into France from the US in the late 70's. It was a wreck when I got it, but a lot of tlc saw it do grass cutting duties for 15 years, before this... And then unfortunately this before I got chance to repair it This....

  15. Missus wanted an island for the kitchen, so I made her one for Xmas. It's 50% recycled too! top is made from the old garage roof timbers
