  1. Omg... How badass is that! That's the lowest meanest horse on the planet!
  2. it is - it's around £200 a year I think. Then 2 of my tractors are road legal and covered for road runs - so thats a bit more...
  3. better than mine, around £400 for 5 tractors and a quad
  4. Yup, it's the kill. I put the same engine in my dixon until the fire got it!
  5. The red one is to the battery, the other is lights. It's a split circuit. There is a Rectifier diode in the red one to stop the battery discharging.
  6. Red is charge, black is kill. I might have the opposing connextor... But would need a clear picture. I use the same connector types on all my rewire jobs so that engine lifts out easier.

    Bolens G14

Looks in fine fettle.... What a nice line up! I've done a few sets of bolens decals, be nice to add a few more to the library if you ever get chance to get some clear pics
  8. Teeny update... Tension spring added to hold the diff lock out an make sure it disengages properly. Trying to come up with a linkage that works across the pivot point.
  9. What a great find, thats gonna be such an awesome project
  10. if you don't know the OEM for them, then the dealers will always sting you. Always been the same with land rover, if you know the part you can get original or pattern from a local supplier. Go to Land Rover and it's a fortune...
  11. sweet, like your place... would look good with some stickers on
  12. the bore isn't scored nor is there any massive wear marks - so it will stay standard. However the piston has quite a bit of sideways movement and the oil ring is non-existent! Given it's been split at some point and the gaskets are junk, I just want to stop it burning oil and dribbling, spitting out of every orifice. A 550cc displacement causes a lot of crank pressure and pushes oil out of places you'd never imagine. I once took the dipstick out when it was running and It's not going to be a massive worker, more of a show piece - but it certainly will be put through it's paces and I will test the whole 16hp
  13. I could get the bits here, but £70 for just the piston and rings, another £40 for the full gasket, oils seals and con rod seemed like a better deal. Our lad has had two k241 rebuild kits from the same chap so should be good to go
  14. Another £100 or so lighter after import, I finally got fed up of the oil slick on the workshop floor and ordered this. Looks like an engine rebuild is now on the cards
  15. your engine is governed for speed consistency and power output, the top end revs is set by the governor. If you adjust the mixture to make it rev more all it will do it make the head hotter and valves burn... If you adjust the governor to get the revs up you will inevitably break the crank, con rod or bend the valves (when they hit the piston) Don't do it !
  16. neat attachment, didn't know you could get them!
  17. Today's update, after being 12 nuts short of a full packet you can stop picking on me. A quick zap in my magic tank And voila, shiny nuts
