good news!
the only issue with putting the steering knuckles in front of the axle is it's hard to get the akerman angle right unless you have big wheels...
but I think Akerman angle will be irrelevant when you are sideways in a cloud of blue smoke :D
-
found your camera at last have you...
looking forward to seeing it finished!
-
Oops!
Same happened on bendy, that's why the steering arm on the beetle steering box is chopped off and welded upside down
-
-
There should be a number stamped in the cowl. That's a good start...
-
You do only end to drill through half the casing to split it though...
Then press the rest out when you have split it
-
That's an awesome gear lever, kinda like a what they use in wrc rally cars, pull back to go ip, push forward to drop down
-
Nice line up A Mötley Crüe if ever I saw one...
-
V twin roll up machine, perfect for you and Ian
-
I must have some somewhere! heres a few, not that young though
-
was gonna look at joining you, but pretty certain there's a clash with Driffield steam rally
-
Been a busy week, managed an hour though... Rebuilt the starter, though I think it's brand new anyway - so it just needed a blow through with the air line.
Cleaned up the fuel pump, and rebuilt and cleaned the breather which was full of silicon!!! morons, a gasket costs a few quid and it was full of bathroom silicon!!!!
Before I strip the cowl as it's got hammer rash, that's why it has a new starter... I took the liberty of making out a very vague serial number and printing a few new decals.
-
Probably piloted a spitfire too
-
For &190 you must've had a plan Chris...
-
-
Managed a few pics through the clouds
-
Great work Ian, steering thingy is close enough... That what I call them
-
I use whatever I lay my hands on
-
you should hear project C4 whine!!!! in most gears, that's only got 10w40 in. Perhaps I should treat it to some EP90
-
-
Norm should be exhibiting - he will no doubt be taking more home than he came with!
You are welcome to bring any of your collection, the horticulture section is open to anything - it's just I hijack half for wheel horses
mark
-
nice work, looks like my workshop roof - I used the same boards, we called it sterling board here.
Are those cedar shingles or bituminous felt?
-
looked awesome!
great pic and well done guys!!!!
-
nice place!
interesting trailer....
-
Awesome, didn't know you were coming Neil. The whole area is pretty nice, can't recommend anywhere yet... Have a look on laterooms, could be a B and B close by, otherwise Ripon isn't too fr away and there will be plenty of place there.
