Now to join the two bit of the drop link together..
The fixed length one was easy.. A bit of Wheel Horse lift arm with some more steel pipe hammer inside for extra strength.

The adjustable drop link needed a bit more thinking about..

As I couldn't find a bolt I thought was not only strong enough, but I also had a nut to fit, I made my own..  The thread is only partly cut here..

My first attempt came out a bit wonky and the threaded bit decided it didn't want to wind in or out!

Attempt 2 ended up with a wonky thread being cut!!

Attempt number 3 involved cutting a thread off a toll I haven't used in at least 8 years!! But it worked..

Two drop links tack welded together..   I know that having to removed a pin to adjust the adjustable drop link isn't ideal, but it will do for now and keeps this 3 point build within budget... which is nowt.. Yep only built with what I had kicking about the shack
Ok, I may of borrowed the 3 point arms from the 6x6m but were gloss over that

    And fitted..

All I need to do now is to pull it all apart for final welding and strengthening..

The plan was to make a start on that today, but it seemed a shame to be inside with the nice sunny weather, so Pete and I went for a drive

I'm kind of partial to Public Replacement.  For those of you who don't know, the blonde is my oldest daughter Megan.

The next day i spent a while working out how i could operate the gearstick from the front. looking at the gearbox / front axle i noticed that it was held on with u bolts, simple all i had to do was turn the engine and transmission around the other way, so the next 4 photos so the progress

As some of you might have guessed, I like big wheels and tractors. Here's a few of my favourites from last years Newby Hall show - this years venue for the UK wheel horse round up

This project was something I had in my head for a while. Being a lover of Wheelhorse's and tracked vehicles having driven diggers and alike for years, I looked at a few MG's but didn't like the metal tracks
One day a friend gave me a Wheelhorse A 90, it came from a school and had a seized engine and had been partly dismantled to stop the children playing with it, this started me thinking, all I had to do was find something on rubber tracks, narrow enough to go through a garden gate and have forward and reverse gears rather than hydromatic.

Managed a bit of a rejig in the shop today and in a bid to save my knees got the project up a bit higher!

First job is to sort out a small alignment issue on the rear subframe, then crack on with hooking the two transmissions together.
