    Thanks Paul, that's the plan.
One of the things that I got on with first was the engine. It was stripped
down, valves reground etc(no points on this one). Then the paint was
stripped, the air filter housing and tank repaired (new ones were redicoulas
prices) then everything was painted in the nearest shade of red that I had.
Then some excellent decals from Titch were applied.

Great addition to your collection Gareth, and a great comparison between this and G206

After a few months of waiting I finally received a call from the
blaster to say that it was ready. He doesn't charge a lot, just
    wish he was more reliable.

A properly set up diaphragm will help but do observe the choke butterfly and see that it is closing correctly. The butterfly spindle is in two separate parts that push in and clip to the butterfly flap. Those spindle sections eventually wear oval and the flap no longer seals. Assuming that they are still available its a two minute job to change them. The choke flaps came in three types, plain with no hole, with an open hole and with a hole with a spring poppet valve. If you have a bad starter it may be worth fitting a plain flap or sealing the hole in the existing one if applicable.
It may seem obvious but those models with the fuel tank below the carb always need a few pulls to lift the fuel but a full tank helps. Also they often cold start better with the throttle just off the stop position and the engine allowed to warm up and settle for a few seconds before fully opening the throttle slowly.

Just about to have a go at reducing ALL my bills.  Gas, electric, TV broadband phone package, car and house insurance.  Worked in the past, time I tried again.

I just noticed that BT had sneaked my bill up to £46.00, so I gave them a call and asked them what's the best price they could do, to begin with they said £40.00 was the very best, so I told them to cancel it, the next thing you know they dropped to £26.00, result. That's a saving of £240 a year! Next I guess I'll have a go at the electric company!

This is an ED300 charging set, I believe it was built by BSA under licence from Johnson. The previous owner told me that it was from WW2, and had been on a fire launch which was on Belfast Lough. When I got it,there was no compression and no spark.I took the head off to find a stuck exhaust valve, corroded valve seats, and a stuck top compression ring. These are now freed off and valve seats recut and valves ground in. Now have some compression .The points required cleaning and a replacement ht lead restored a  healthy blue spark . I am now working my through the dynamo end, it starts off a battery and gives some output. If anybody knows where I can get a choke assy for this engine. Please let me know

Managed to have a good go today at it. First thing was to see if it turns over and it did which was a good result. Next thing was to get a spark and after a quick clean on the points the spark was present. Put it all back together and turned it over, it fired but did not continue to run, must be a fuel problem I thought. After a quick investigation my thoughts were true.

Got that sorted and it runs

Quick play around and realized the hydraulics were not working, there was no oil, after a hunt around I managed to find enough and the hydraulics were working once again. This meant it was time for another play, this time with the loader. Overall i am very pleased with it and the hydraulics are strong.
Pumped up all the tyres and found out the tears are fluid filled😀.

Then this happened which stopped progress, the new tyres are on order and should be here this week hopefully

The new pound coins have been designed so that you can fit a spanner on them. This facilitates removing them from a Yorkshire man's hand.

Also reassembled the big ploughing wheels....... These are flipping heavy cast lumps! The cleats are bolted on in a different pattern on each wheel. The wheel which runs on the unploughed ground has alternating cleats, in, out, in, out etc. The other wheel which runs the bottom of the furrow has the cleats all pointing on the same side, to prevent the edge of the furrow being torn up. Managed to refit the ratchets and chain drive sprockets too......

The 8" wheels had been drying for 3 days, so today I took them along with the new tyres to become reunited into one unit.......
    New boots fitted!

Finally got the last of the bits back from the shot blasters, It's taken a while, but he was soon forgiven when I had to climb over several landrover chassis to get to my bits!! !
Anyways...... More metal means more painting! The big 20" ploughing wheels and the smaller 8" wheels have had 2 coats of the brush on and been left to dry.......

If it jogs your memory it's model number is :- 75-42MS. Serial number :- 155310. Made/assembled Amnor. Belgium.

    So I'm assuming 1975. 42 inch cut.

You may chanced across it at Johns place.

Last year I obtained a side discharge deck in need of some T.L.C. Today I got it into the workshop to see what needs to be done to make it usable.

Though very rusty, it has only a couple of holes showing and the cutter spindle bearings are free and smooth. One of the rear rollers is also missing.  The edges of the belt guard are suffering from tin worm in places and mouse nest and other debris cleaned out when removed.

Belt didn't want to come off, as the tensioner was seized. The tensioner pulley was also right up against the nut holding the spring end. I think the belt was a little short.

Deck is now mostly stripped down except for a couple of stubborn bolts and a pulley putting up some resistance.
