Old Tankman got a reaction from DougC in Lug Nuts & Wheel Weights
One of my first chores, after the rider is runnin', changing from wheel "bolts" to "lug nuts."
Although we have cast wheel weights, made some using discarded brake drums.
Weld bolts in the drums, then fill with concrete.

Old Tankman reacted to neil in Wheelhorse signs
Not quite a ride on , but I have put this in the ride on section as there isn't really a relevant section for signs.
I was having a few signs made up recently for the house and was so impressed this young guys work that I wondered if he would make me a few Wheelhorse logo signs , I picked them up yesterday and was delighted at how they came out . One of them has been polished to a mirror finish & the other has been brushed steel affect . They were made out of 4 mm stainless steel to are very strong and naturally will not rust . I am that impressed with them I am going to make one of them a clock and am also having others made up into clocks .
let me know what you chaps think.
Anyone that may be interested in a clock I will show you the finished product soon and if your interested you can let me know . As you can imagine , the steel is the thick grade quality and stainless isn't cheep so the clocks won't be a £10 cheapy .
These particular signs are about 3 ft in length

Nice Bolens! Great find.
Be sure to update any progress but, looks great as-is.
Had a couple tube frame Bolens years ago. I couldn't ever get over the cast steering column.

I went up to a friends place on Saturday not 20 miles from here to collect a set of rear wheel weights and while i was there i saw the little tractor they came off.
It was hiding in a dark container looking all forlorn to be losing part of its rearend so a deal was struck and it was loaded in my van.
Its in good condition and will enjoy its new home with the Horses.
Heres a few photos for you to look at and i need a new coil if anyone has one.

Owned a few Cubs. Now only one, hydro. Grandsons like the automatics.

Old Tankman got a reaction from Stormin in Pennsylvania Panzer
Grandson and I saw a gentleman mowing his lawn with a Wheel Horse. We stopped to see his Stallion. Very nice older Horse.
He told us his shed was packed, asking, "Might you be interested in a Pennsylvania?"
One look and we drove it up ramps into our pickup truck. He had the original owners manual and sales receipts, we took those too.
Paint, belts, fluid changes, another project for Grandsons.

I think the Panzer is a great little tractor and I very nearly bought one in New York State to be imported back here to the UK. Thanks for sharing.

Old Tankman reacted to howardman in Pennsylvania Panzer
Saw one of those at a small show over here in ireland last summer. the owners kids were driving it around ...its drives well. He was working in the states for a few years as a carpenter and took it as part payment from an elderly woman he was doing work for. I have a picture of it on my phone ....meant to post it up .

Old Tankman got a reaction from AKAMick in Allis-Chalmers
Found an AC, great shape after paint, lights and now ag's.
Engine ran fine but, had a 16 hp on the shelf.
Grandson is keeping the driveways graded.

Old Tankman got a reaction from DougC in Wheel Horse 520-8
Was always a Kohler "junkie." Hard working older Kohlers keep on working.
My first Onan runs like a champ. The '90 520-8 with the swept axle is a go to Horse.

I did hear Chrysler rears. The boys love the left 'n right brake pedals, donuts in the gravel driveways.
