You realise if you paint the trans', you have to paint all the rest.

The hubs are cast and very easily broken. I've one off the Raider 10 with a chunk out. Not down to me I hasten to add.

Sometimes heating then letting cool, helps to break the seal. Then heating again finishes the job off. Well done.

I know just what you mean. You have to have the bits of paper as well. Until that is someone wants a real engineer who can use spanners.
  6. You'll know if you do. He'll fill your truck with stuff he doesn't really want. He does with my trailer.

I'm finding your thread rather interesting, Steve. It's giving me ideas as well. May I ask where you found the clutch?
  8. That's one name. I could do with one mesel'.
  9. That drag mat is a harrow in English.
  10. I've a stitcher just like that. Maybe that's what it's off. Was on the kitchen extension roof for a few years.
  11. Without going out for a look, I think ok for petrol engines up to 2000cc and diesels to 1600cc.
  12. Maybe anew battery on the to do list, then Alan. Along with some new tyres.

If one is observant enough, one can see the plate that the box section is welded to. Photo 1. And photo's 2 and 4, where the plate is welded to the plough.
  14. Ditto! Or Big Tyres.
  15. Not got a flat battery. Only rectangular ones. Tried it on the Sears/Roper. The battery on that is slowly losing charge for some reason. After two - th ree weeks standing, will turn engine but not fast enough. Started easily using the pack.
  16. While in Lidl I spotted this little power pack at just short of £40. It'll be handy for jump starting the tractors if needs must away from home. Has a very good light as well. Battery should be good for 20 jump starts the bumph says. Has a recharging plug and lead.

View from rear. Side view set for 6" deep. Set for 4" deep. The wheel can be adjusted from 6" to 4" in 1/2" increasments or reductions. Most likely 6" or 5-1/2" will be the settings to use. Trial and error will tell. The complete plough.

    Rod ends

If they are the Wheel Horse type, I think they may be hard to find new. If you have a look at my C-120 refurb topic in Ride On's, July 7th 2014, page 7, you'll see what I did.

The implement lift on my C-121, aka The Black Horse, is electrically operated. This works well but has a down side. The plough is either up or down and no way to adjust plough depth. When in the ground, the plough pulls the actuator fully out and results in the furrow being 7" deep. So a way to set plough depth had to be devised. The tool bar has two positions in the slot hitch. One gives a plough depth of just over 5" and t'other just over 7". Somewhere in between being required. The only thing I could think of was a depth wheel. Simple, cheap and not heavy. A search around the workshop provided some box section. One size sliding nicely in the other. A wheel off a push rotary mower, some flat bar, a couple of pins with R clips and a long 1/4" cap head allan bolt. A bit of thinking and measuring, cutting and drilling and I had some bits. I took more photo's but the quality is poor. Out of focus. I'll take some fresh ones tomorrow.
  20. Four entries will be in Mondays post. Sears/Roper, C-81 with finger bar, C-121 aka The Black Horse Plus Teagle Jet Cut Hedge trimmer. Who else is going besides the fore mentioned members?
