Hello all,
Have any of you ever built a stack exhaust for a garden tractor of some kind? If so do you have a thread on it somewhere? Or does anyone have any links to somone building one,
I'd like to see how to go around it, I know in my head, just want to get a few ideas
-
Hello all,
I don't want to get your hopes up and tell you it's for sale just yet, but all being well and good, by the end of the summer/christmas, my little cub cadet original might well be up for sale, We are getting vehicle rear access to the back of the house so finally my dream can come true, I've always wanted a full size tractor, not meaning these news things, but like a little grey fergie or something like that, I have my little fund pot tucked away, but sadly the little machines would have to go as they just wouldn't get used + take up some of my storage space, and of course the extra $$$ will help!...
you guys know everything about it already pretty much, been restored by myself, erm, runs and drives great, it is what it is, you've all seen enough pictures of it but i'll add one here anyway I'll also chuck that tipping trailer in with it I might get round to painting it by then as it will give me something to do if not, it will be a little rusty .
basically you might be thinking why is he putting this ad up on here so early if he isn't ready to sell it?... well I know peoples minds change, so you might like the idea and want to buy it now but when its ready to go, change your mind. but I put it on here to see if any of you guys wanted it before I put it on the bay because at least then I know its gone to a good loving home, not someone who's going to cut it up and do weird and wonderful things with it as some people seem to do!
I was toying with the idea of putting it on the bay with a 99p start but a high reserve so I could see interest, but it seems setting a reserve is relatively high, I read something like 10% of the reserve price.... just to ad it.. then if it sells even more charges... hmmm!
Anyway, would anyone be interested later on in the year as long as everything goes to plan? I know I hate it myself when people do this to me.. I always think well I cant be the buyer and the seller at the same time, but I'm going to have to do it to you lot at this moment in time, as I just have no idea what it's worth, so I'm going to say...
If any of you will be Interested, send me a P.M with what you would offer for my little cub cadet and I'm sure we could talk about it.....the worst I can say is no
On another note, If none of you Red Paint Lovers are interested in buying it, your input would also be very welcome with valuations, tell me what you think its worth just in case it does end up on the bay! I would kindly ask you to P.M me valuations though as I don't want to cause any rivalry or upset between anyone
Cheers
Charlie.

I didn't have them then, I've only just ordered them,

Hello Guys,
I'm finally buying some new front tyres for my horse, I treated her to some new rear tyres the other year, now the time has come to fit it with some fronts!
I didn't have a problem last year with fitting the rears, as they fit on a tyre machine..just...
however now coming to the fronts they wont fit on a tyre machine,
do any of you local boys know somewhere that can change them?
or tips on how to, I might try borrow some tyre leavers and give it a go...

I came across this old caravan/trailer hitch lock at the back of the shed,
its no use to me nor my dad as we already have wheel clamps etc,
heavy duty all working well, tried it on the trailer this afternoon,
if its of use to anyone, send me a PM I'm sure we can work something out
-
Great minds think alike that was the plan, along with a nice new shiny split pin and a few decals sides, front and back
-
Koen kindly done me an edit in all cream, and thats what its going! indeed, all cream, with a nice bit of shine on the back rubber, with a few IH and cubcadet decals
-
Don't get me wrong Norm, Paul. I'd love too, but I'm all out of spending tokens, I could offer Mr Showman a Mars bar and a packet of Crisps but thats about it haha!
-
After a while of searching I've found my piccys! I have one of these at the back of the shed also. I was going to restore it and give it to my nephew but upon stripping it down
I came across this...
they are great little tractors, but my ones gone beyond repair for me
-
all that hard work of you smuggling them in, you've let slide by a silly mistake
-
this could go on for a while Nigel.... ill Increase by 10p each time until you give up
I'm just kidding

Thank you Koen. And Mark thank you thats amazing for 5 minutes, that sort of progress would take me hours! I still cant decide
I think the yellow would be a little too much for the body! I also dont think yellow would look right on the wheels, so I may go for the propper look all cream with IH decals
-
Hello all,
This is a long shot I know, but is anyone out there skilled enough to do me a huge favour? I cant quite decide if I should paint the cart for my Cubcadet yellow body with cream wheels and black rubber, or a cream body with yellow wheels and black rubber? I was wondering if any of you are skilled enough to take this photo and change the colour of the cart for me so I could see what it looks like?
if not I guess ill have to paint it one colour each side

I think that's a Bedford J Type Pick Up! the trucks and lorrys back then had so much more style and characteristics then the boring ones of today that all share the same running gear!
There was a few there

This weekend just gone I was exhibiting at Laughton Cuckoo Fayre,
Over all it was a good weekend away, the weather was pretty good all 3 days, coming back with sun burn was a good sign of this this show isn't very big but it's a fair size on some, lots of arena events over the 3 days the show is active some night time entertainment in the main bar and the small bar by the lake, a fun fair, Jay Millers circus which is free entry once you've paid to get into the show, the show it's self isn't very expensive either something like £9 an adult, but £1 off with a one of there leaflets,
there is a bit here for everyone really, a great auto jumble full of odds and sods, always a good bargain to be found here, models, crafts and food, collections/awning displays, bicycles, motorcycles, tractors, horticultural, steam, commercial, stationary engines classic cars and many many more exhibits, here is only a fraction of the photos of whats there. but it's something for you all to look at, I like it here, its quite laid back, there is a 4x4 mud play pen, a working field for you to go and have a play, steam working, and all sorts, If you haven't been before I'd recommend coming along for the day next year, or even exhibiting! the horticultural section does need to grow a little....... they also hold a show at the same showground in September the one in May personally is the better of the two, but that's just my opinion,
anyway that's enough, here is what you really want!
always makes a nice picture, the Native Americans Village by the pond
Tyler having a good old look
something I hadn't seen before
Now this!..... What a Van! not one bit wasn't customized, even the dip stick etc, everything was chrome and custom, ratchet spanners as handles! WOW!
more to follow!

Hello All,
Last September when I was over one of my shows I picked up an old garden trolley that was slightly worn down it had no sides or anything of the sorts, I picked it up for a bargain price, and over the winter I've slowly been tinkering away with it getting it done a little by little ready for the first show of the year! which was the weekend just gone, I'll be uploading photos of that soon!....
I built the cart for my little nephew Tyler, so he can be pulled around the showgrounds or towed, and when hes old enough he can use it behind his own tractor hopefully!
anyway here is the pictures of the stages, from start to finish! the last photo is him being pulled about like a king around the showground, its alright for some I guess!...

My K-181 is electric start yes, but not sure if they also did recoil starters? someone with a bit more knowledge will have to tell you that, but i can reassure you that the K-181 will fit without any modifications.
here is a few pics of the k-181 on it and the mounting holes when i removed it for spraying.
-
Tom, my original doesn't have the original 7 hp kohler, it has the 8 hp kohler the k181 I never done the engine swap but it bolted straight on with the same holes no need for modifications
-
Hmmmm my guess is a Simplicity 725, or a 2210 garden tractor.......?
-
I wont be hauling anything, it will always be empty its just something to tow behind my cub cadet at shows etc, seeing the solid rubber is still in very good condition I think im going to keep it on solid tyres
Only time will tell

Yesterday along with my plough and dump cart I also picked this up, I've been after something like this for a while, I know the proper job should be like them ones you see with two fancy great lengths of wood and cast iron spoked wheels all varnished and painted pretty! well, this is far from that, but its perfect for the job and I'm pleased with it, the blocks of wood its on at the minute are only supported with tool box caster wheels ( wasn't us that did that) and as you can guess they broke! so where it sits now is where its been for a while, at least now i can get it out more! with a bonus, it can be pulled by hand or one of my machines :D
I've already given it a quick coat of paint I got some new wood to bolt on the top of the trolley and varnish it all up then sit the engine ontop...
all to follow over the next few weeks hopefully!
