This is the 2nd Mayfield Merlin to be built & is part of my collection. Some of you may have seen it before else where
Needs restoration & tlc. Hopefully when our child arrives & gets a bit older they will help me

I poured gear oil over mine & rubbed in with a rag. Quite like the look

I have got mine back but not opened it
 
I think I will only make it one day Kev with one tractor.  I cant expect my other half to sleep on an air bed 6 months pregnant

Yes I like the weathered look about the old girl. Going to keep this one.
 
I have had a lot of issues with the engine when it gets hot. After alot of head scratching it turns out it was lacking compression.
 
So treated it to a new set of piston rings & valves  My good friend Mark came down & we took the engine apart again with his valve seat cutter & we cut new seats & ground the new valves in at the weekend. It now runs better now & will tow the gangs tomorrow & find out.

Here you go then. Had a play today with them. Had to re ajust the cylinders. I will sharpen them up at some stage.
They are ok if you use them often before the grass gets too long or they clog up  Once I got the tractor going it ran ok for the job. Just as I took these pics it chucked it down!!

I have been after a set of Ransomes Junior Gangs for a while now.
 
Looking on that auction site, I found these not far from me   Put a bid on & won thinking they were going to go for more than what I wanted to pay. Picked them up last night, ajusted the cylinders etc & delivered them to our field ready for use   As the bolens 1886 is sick, I am going to get the HT20 out this week & sort & give it some work   I am please with the condition of the gangs so should last a few more years

Having a clear out of the workshop of some items I dont need & I have this up for grabs
 
Brought it as I thought it would come in handy! & as per usual it did not
 
Its a Qualter & Smith power hack saw
 
Perfick for cutting up old wheel horses etc!!
 
I have never had it running, needs a clean up & some tlc
