Well...decided to put the 1.2 horsepower Tas motor used in the Aqua-bug/Bike-bug and Sears Gamefisher outboards in my second Petro. Besides more horsepower, the coil is neatly positioned inside the flywheel cover, and the intake port is actually in the cylinder. There are no reed valves. The gearbox side has the same 3 hole pattern, and crank end has same length/taper. I will be modifying this to produce more power by way of increased compression, porting and carburetor/exhaust improvements. Wait till you see the tiny expansion chamber I build! World's fastest Little Petro???

If you could find a source, something like these would also be suitable with some modification to the pickup tube.

Kind of hard to tell without seeing inside the carb, the service info suggest that carbs with the external check valve on the inlet contain the diaphragm arm with the rubber pad.

Welcome Mike, there are several different O&R pumps that all seem to use the pump & impeller, I have three different ones here & only one where the impeller is intact, I should really get some measurements from it.

This is the impeller remains from my Petro Chug-A-Pump with some measurements (pictures taken years ago).

We have a pump just like the one pictured. It is missing the pump impeller. Does anyone know where one could be found?  Thanks in advance!!

The French have a lot to do with why almost all spark-plugs are Metric.

Well it can't be earlier than August 1960 as the gearbox models weren't available then (plus no mention of Ultra before Compact anywhere), I suspect the original purchaser/owner re-packed it with that newspaper.
All the paperwork should have dates in the bottom left corner too, like this from the August 1961 engine price list.

I've seen three pan head screws* fitted to several Model J engines and my Model F engine, they are shorter so they don't stick out above the four mounting points, for when the gearbox is attached to a metal plate.

*Part no #26-47, three fitted according to the parts list.

I have used either the kitchen stove or a hot-air gun. Mostly depending on for how long the missus leave the house ;-) .

From experience I can tell though that if you forget it on the stove, it can be kind of hard getting the smell out of the house before she returns...

No photos of the actual pump attachment but the instructions do reference a Life-Savr Pump Model 410P.

I didn’t see any indications anywhere on the unit for AEP. Dimensions of the gray line spool is 5” diameter. The black spool shroud is approximately 6 1/4” diameter. The yellow guard is about 13 3/8” corner to corner and about 7 1/8” from the center to the edge.

After seeing CNews fantastic mower project it got me thinking...

I had a spare O&R engine in stock and a very sad looking Nash Boadicea mower with a tired JAP 34 on it...

It's not finished yet, just a bit of fun using what bits I have in stock...

Another one of these appeared yesterday on ePay in France, definitely not a work of art in this condition (needs a lot more than some body filler) but does show most of the parts used in the pictures. It had 9 days left when I saw it earlier today, but just noticed it has ended early before posting.

There are 18 rollers in both pictures I took, you have to fit them in the crankcase on this type before inserting the crankshaft. Can't see anything that looks like a thrust washer though.

Hopefully not, I've taken lots of pictures during further disassembly to make sure I know where all the small parts go back.

Here is the back of the powerhead with the coupling for the flexible drive, note this uses a larger than normal tank (the lid of this is currently seized on).

Might be hard to see, but there are two long screws holding the cover in place.

Those were removed along with the air cleaner, allowing the cover to be removed, the extension for the cylinder baffle plate is loose once the cover is removed.
Note the stop button on the side of the cover, it contacts with the standard brass stop strip.

Possibly the only O&R where they had to build the engine up in the middle of the casing, don't know what they were thinking.

Here is my K.C. Wiggins Champ Series 75 that I restored earlier this year, this is a 230V output version of the Champ generator made in Potters Hill, Felton, near Bristol.

Be aware that forcing incorrect two pin plugs into these generators may break the plastic part of the sockets, resulting in the socket falling inside. I have seen several of these generators sold on ebay this year with broken sockets.

I'm not sure what plug was supplied with these when new, but all my UK two pin plugs have a pin spacing that is too wide, I ended up modifying one with a Dremel to fit without causing damage.

I checked on ebay.com, it wasn't showing GSP, they are pretty good at removing the option in restricted categories, but sometimes items get listed in the wrong category and the option does show, then the item can get seized.
Also items that are too big or heavy will never get shipped abroad.
Proper shipping companies have no problem with engines (drained of oil/fuel), chainsaws and radio valves.

Edit: they don't like magnetos either, my Dad lost a working 1920's Eisemann twin magneto to them.

Apologies for joining the forum just to sell something, but having found myself in possession of this machine, I figured it belongs in the hands of an enthusiast, so here I am. This has been sitting unused in a garage for at least 25 years. I'm in Surrey, England, but I've listed on ebay with their global shipping program, so it can go to most destinations worldwide.
