You aren't fooling anyone with that pic.

It's very obvious that what appears to be a tow strap is a piece of steel bar stock painted tan, and the Bolens is really pushing the Wheel Horse   :yankchain:

When at Newby Hall last year, we were camped about 1/4 mile from where our exhibits where. Having three and only being able to drive one at a time, walking back and forth got to be a bit of a bind.  So for this year something had to be done to save the poor old legs. They're not as young as they used to be. It's the rigor mortis setting in early.
So this morning I had a scrat about. One Westwood front axle and wheels, some 2" box section, surplus ladder racks and the result you can see below.

    Still ramps to make yet.

Yes that bend should be there.  It's normal for the hydrostatic tube frames.

My 1556 had the same accident as My H16, apparently someone hit something going fast enough and the object was hard enough to break the Baluster, also missing a collar on the PTO, right now the bottom double pulley moves all over the shaft, no big deal, I'll get that straightened out. I've power washed the entire tractor top to bottom and bottom to top. I'm wondering if any sharp eyes can detect a error in the picture of the tractors left side profile, whats wrong?

Well I finally started the Bolens 1556 restoration, not like I have it long, maybe a couple months, but it seem like years to me. I still have a Homelite T16H and a CASE 224 in the que, but the 1556 cut in line. I've had the special grey/white mixed in a top of the line tractor/implement paint and plan on using a special reducer and hardener in it on the last coat. Tomorrow I will order the decal set, , I got ta new rubber BRAKE pedal pad yesterday, and my rear taillight came in last week. I have a brand new set of expensive Carlisle Turf tires, just not sure that's the way i want to go, but with me making under 600-800 a month I may have to.

I picked up my new plough today, (well new to me) It's not a wheel horse plough nor does it have any makers name/marks but I am hoping to adapt it a little bit and get it onto the back of my wheel horse raider 10. I've been after a plough for a long time now, Hopefully start work after next weekend!

You are correct. I didn't like the swivel and lift seat idea because the hoe would have to set farther off the back of the tractor. I wanted it tight as possible so I made the tank and valves swivel back and forth. The valves can be pulled towards the operator when the seat is flipped up, then push them back to drop the seat down. For small jobs, I just kneel on the seat.

These are when the power and utility lines to the house were put underground. Trench was about 150 foot long by 4 foot deep.

So the wife is always pestering me to work on the "Honey Do" list. She also says I should use those tractors instead of reading about tractors!
So...... Since RedSquare is down today, out came the backhoe for some work. Thought I would post over here since I still have the need to read about tractors, engines and machines.
Needed to remove a large 12 foot Forsythia bush. She wants to do a small garden in this area and this thing took up quite a bit of room.
Had to dig a trench around the base, hooked up a chain to the front end bucket and yanked it out. Put a beating on the hoe with some of larger roots and rocks but got it done. She hasn't decided if the others will need to go yet so I may be back at again next week.

    Welcome to MoM!

The 613 was basically identical to the 813/G8 other than the engine.

You should be able to use these manuals:

Interesting.  The 425 isn't one that you see very often!

Don't bet the farm on it, but it just may be possible to make that work on the later tube frames like the 1050, etc.

Looking at the manual, which I'll attach, it looks like it may have been a 405A that was modified to fit the QT series.

That's not unusual for Haban as they were masters at taking a basic design and modifying it to work across several brands.

I found out about that with my first Sickle-Mo.  It was a 414 which was for some Wheel Horse models, but by removing the extra bits that Haban attached so that it would hang on the Wheel Horse axle, and having the stub for the prop shaft lengthened a few inches, it was than identical to the 405A. The other extra bit was a 90 deg. gear box that attached under the Wheel Horse chassis to transmit the power to the Sickle-Mo I just have in storage.

You can see the extra bits on the front hanger and the gearbox in these two pics:
