  1. A turbo whistle would be nice Koen.. I quite like the wheels too Norm, it would be good to find a mini matching pair for the front.. Your have to wait and see Mark. No chance Yeah it is a heavy old lump of steel Max. It was twice the size when I found it years ago!
  2. And yes, it does sound good
  3. I'm sure your workshop will be filling up at the same rate Chris's is emptying

    FAO Mr Mackellow.

A job well done Norm. Fitting the strengthening bar was a good move
  5. It's always good to see your Gutbrod being worked. Nice view too
  6. Now, that's something different.. A very nice find you lucky so and so

    Cub 154

Me likes that, a very nice find indeed The dash surround reminds me of a WH GT-14 which can't be a bad thing
  8. Norm or Koen could be right.. Have you got any photo's you could post up of it?
  9. Life is a funny old thing at times... I swapped WN's original Wh trans out with it's 5 bolt wheel fixings for a Reliant axle which is a 4 wheel bolt fitting.. Then spend loads of time converting 5 bolt wheels to 4 bolt fitting... And now I'm about to start converting the Reliant 4 bolt to fit 5 bolt wheels back on!! It's not as mad as it might sound you know.. Why??? Well it's a safety thing you see... Now WN has proved herself at going sideways (did anyone get any photo's of my BTF arena antics?), the time has come to starting thinking about something a bit faster and in a straight line.. After some careful thought the chances of going sideways at high speed is far more likely on a grass airstrip than tarmac, so with that in mind something more sticky on tarmac was found.. next door as it happens The tyres have a V speed raiting which means they are good up to 149mph!! I just need to find some better tyres for the front wheels now.. All of the above means I have some work to do to make the wheels fit, so this big old slab of steel was dug out to make a couple of wheel bolt convertors.. I see a lot of lathe work coming up in the very near future The shape eye'd of you will of noticed a something lurking in the background of the above photo.. Yep I have bought another CX/GL/silverwing engine for doing a bit of development on.. I won't give my plans away yet (those who know please keep quite if you would be so kind ) as I won't be doing anything with the engine for a long time yet, but I will say it should produce a bit more power than a standard CX/GL engine
  10. Some great fabrication work going on there, keep the photo's coming
  11. First off, a massive Thank You and a job well done to Kev and Ethan for you organizational skills and unlimited suply of rope A second big thank you to The Showman for having somewhere for us to shelter from the sun/rain and your fine kettle handling skills As always Tractorfest was a great show, plenty to see, plenty to do, lots of laughs, and some great company. Cheers guys and girls, roll on BTF 2016
  12. Cool video Max, that looks like great fun. There's something about going sideways that always brings on a big grin The dog looked very tired at the end though, the poor fella could only run very slowly
  13. A short update on Tractorfest.. A hugh amount of people, loads of machines, and it's bloody hot I must take some photo's tomorrow, I was too busy hiding in the shade today!
  14. That looks a nice machine Paul, I look forward to seeing at Tractorfest tomorrow
  15. Morning chaps, not much to report on the WN front as nothing has been happening.. But I did take her round the test track yesterday to get some on board video footage.. It's a shame the footage came out too shaky to use, I need to make a better camera mount! But I did push her harder than I have done with lot's of sideways action I'd best give her a bit of a clean up before BTF! Oh, one more think that I was suprised but happy to see... I had to turn WN around late yesterday to park her back in the workshop, so I climbed on and pottled down the carpark.. While turning I gave the loud pedal a little blip and the inside tyre chirped a little as it tends to do.. About 30 mins later I noticed a couple of marks on the tarmac! The little chirp was in fact both tyres breaking loose! Yes the carpark was a tad damp but it gives me great hope of some smokey dounuts in the future It's a bit hard to see but there are two strips of rubber left in the tarmac
  16. I'm shocked you didn't use a WH for pulling the trailer Norm
  17. Nice work George, the wheel makes a great backdrop to the fuchsia in the pot
  18. Ouch, that's not good Alain... Wishing you a speedy recovery as it's rather hard to drive any of your machines lying on your stomach..
  19. Roll on the weekend, I want to see the video
  20. That's a rather nice 856, she looks ready to work Nice Moggie Neil, is the engine standard? The wheels are making me wonder
  21. Ahhh, righto.. It was me that got confused about where it was going.. And pasted the confusion on..
  22. It's good to hear Spencer has gone to a good home

    Small plough

That looks a nice little plough Chris, will you be giving it a try at BTF?
  24. Ian

    foot throttle

Hi Terry, let me have a think on it, I'm sure there's an easy solution.. I'm a "throw it in a pile and work it out from there" kinda guy, so it will have to wait until I'm back at my workshop tomorrow and can have a look at the carb linkage on my GT-14.
  25. Ian

    foot throttle

Thanks mate, good to meet you too.. The names Ian by the way A foot throttle pedal wouldn't be too hard to make and fit, the fun bit would be the linkage that would allow you to use the hand throttle as well..
