Happy birthday Steve, hope you have a great day.
-
Yes they did Jonathan, and cranberry sauce
-
I had the traditional Christmas turkey dinner.
-
Just been out in the shed to look at mine, you've got the belt right , ive had them play up if the cover's not on. the cover stops the belt sagging at bottom and as Norm said the pulleys need to be shiney
-
That looks really good mate.
-
Fabrication all finished ( I think) I thought it would be handy if the hook for the hoist moved from side to side so I found some more bits and pieces and the photos show what i came up with.
Also finished the 4 pins for the topbar.
-
Wasn't all the right size but i'm lucky enough to have an electric hacksaw.
-
I can raise the hydraulic lift and stand on that
-
After doing my chores this morning i was allowed in the shed.
Finished making the A frames and welded on, found some 1/4 plate for the topbar gussets and made a cross bar for extra support.
Ive put pins both sides so the bar can be fitted either side.
Next was to drill 4 1/2" holes in the topbar, just got to make 4 pins now or put nuts and bolts though it.
The topbar can be lifted up another 8" if i need extra height.
And some photos.

That's interesting, looks like a small block chevy engine mounted back to front

Hi Jeff welcome to the forum.
If your Wheelhorse is a 877 it may be a 1967, if it's a 1965 it would have a five in the number
-
You could always use the inner grove to run the mower deck.
-
That looks brilliant George, good job.
-
Nothing wrong with the early Fords and they seem to be going up in value.
-
Depends what your looking for and how much you want to spend, ?
-
They are really easy to make, Ive made a few and got some hanging in the shed
-
The shohttps://www.menkind.co.uk/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4-7QyL_V1wIVwpPtCh0QVAbWEAAYASAAEgK2jPD_BwEp was called Menkind,
I was told it was used for lifting bombs into aircraft, ???.
Its only hooked at the top and its all enclosed in the casing, has 2 speeds and a brake so you can stand where you want, its a real neat thing to use and you don't have chains or cables all hanging over stuff
-
The sign I found in a men's gadget shop in town and just had to buy it.
ive marked out the gussets but didn't have time to cut them, I also want to put an A frame on the legs at the bottom
-
Thanks mate, I'm really pleased with it, got some more to do yet but it's going to be handy.
-
Got the top bar made today, haven't put the strengthening braces on yet but made it so it slides on the uprights.
Only takes a minute to assemble it and couldn't resist trying it
-
I used a vauxhall vectra one on the Trogan I restored, looked really good, got some photos somewhere
-
Use a spare wheel well from the boot of a scrap car ?
-
Looking better now you've got some red bits,
-
Looks bad Norm, if you had a mini digger you could make a drainage ditch
-
Made some progress today with the hoist, found a box of caster wheels and luckily a set of 4 heavy duty ones, 2 with brakes.
The box section is thick wall and nice to weld, 4 plates were cut to mount the wheels and then welded to the box section then the uprights were added.
I going to weld a A frame at the bottom to give it more strength and make the top bar detachable so i can fold it up when not in use.
heres some photos of today's efforts
