Do they do it in white Norm
-
With Newby fast approaching i thought I'd better start getting my stuff together, the first being the Trachorse as its been in the drive since last year.
had a few things to do, here's the list.
exhaust fell off,
slew levers seized up,
throttle butterfly and choke seized up.
fuel tank had a load of crap in it and the fuel pipes perished and leaking.
got most of it sorted today just need some fuel pipe and some radiator paint for the exhaust
-
Top marks Ewan, a job well done.
-
If anyone's interested i could take them to Newby
-
-
That looks really nice, the decals set it off a treat.
-
Thanks for the info, i can angle them back further just by drilling 2 more holes
-
I did think about that Norm we're see if they work ok first. they are quite heavy as they are but can always add weight boxes at a later date
-
Done a bit more today and made them to angle backwards.
-
My bigger wheelhorse set angle the same way
-
Was wondering if it matters which way they angle, should i pull the centre forward or backward to get the angle ?
-
Didn't have much time today but done a little more, here's an update
-
-
My cleaner arrived today not as big as i was expecting, its just right.
its got a drain tap on the side which is handy, I've put my cup in the basket so you can see the size of it.
glad I didn't order a smaller one
will update you once I've had time to use it
-
Any interest on these before I advertise them elsewhere ?
-
-
I'm going to have to make another visit Alan to see what other metal i can find.
-
That's nice Ewan, should make it bigger to scoop dad up from the beer tent.
-
I've just got to make some brackets now so we can angle them out
-
Brilliant idea tell us more. We all have trouble lifting implements
-
Last year vegikev gave me 5 disc's on an old frame and 5 spare ones they've been kicking around in my driveway so today I thought ide do something with and decided to make a usable set for my mate Paul.
i have a load of steel box section of different sizes so i set to work with the electric saw and the stick welder.
heres a few photos of today's effort, still a bit more to do but I'm really pleased with it so far
-
Thanks for your input sten, ive been looking at them for a while and not used one yet.
I didn't want to get a smaller one and find I cant get my carbs ect in it, although its 6 litres I think it holds about 5.
its a learning curve for me so will update when it arrives and ive tried it out
-
I think it would bottom out on the ramps
-
Blimey is that as long as it looks.
its a nice looking trailer and giving me ideas, think i need a longer van
-
Good photos Paul, a few interesting bits i like the escort van.
