This old roller had been parked in our garden for a few years, we used it with a mates Allis Simplicity ride on mower to level the ground for the aviary bird pens when we moved in to the house in 2004.
Since then it has sat in the garden a bit unloved so with the increased interest in working/playing events and the need to have something to put behind the Cub Cadets I asked Mr Showman nicely if he could modify it for me, add a tow bar and remove the unwanted parts of the frame.
Today we popped down to see Chris with the roller and he kindly fired up the saw and the welder and did the modifications.
It was then transported back home and painted, as a tribute and a thank you to Mr Showman there was only one colour it could be...
It was bitterly cold there so after my bidding we went home for a warm up, I did get a few prices though...
The Howard 350 made £20 but it was an absolute snotter
The Cyclone spreader made £20, I know that coz I bought it !!
The Howard Bullfinch next to the Cyclone made £10 again that was a bit of a dog
Black frame, Blue fender, cutting deck and seat, white engine and bonnet
Not sure if the chrome on the tiller steering can be saved, I will try, failing that chrome effect paint
Pretty close to the colours in the Brochure
